Jason stepped into the private room and found Ryan seated at the table. He was in casual clothes and his slightly pale face was illuminated by the soft glow from the chandelier hanging from the ceiling. “Is it ok for you to be out like this?” Jason asked as he took a seat. It was a bit awkward to meet Ryan like this. They had never had a decent conversation and with what happened with Lora, the air around them was a bit tense. “It’s ok… but I can’t be out for long hours. I’m more likely to get sick if I receive many visitors but being in the open like this is ok,” Ryan responded.

I hear Ruby sob, “I thought you didn’t care. I thought you gave up on me…” Ryan pulls back and places his hand on her cheek, “No, I’m sorry… My little firecracker, I never gave up. I just could never get close enough. As soon as I got close, he would move you somewhere else… I’m sorry!” I clear my throat and say, “Ruby needs to stay here for a few more days to finish with her treatment and complete her healing and then if she agrees and that is only if she agrees, she can then return to FireMoon with you… Do you understand Ryan?”

As long as there are no guys who will interfere with their date. The rides will be open at 2 p.m. After buying tickets, Ryan and Slyvester spent their time playing in different booths. They played laser guns, visited a ghost house, and watched 3D videos. They really enjoyed playing like kids, given that they are both childish in some way. Instead of looking like a couple, they seemed like two children going on a field trip. What happened to their deal? “Ryan! It’s 2.p.m! We can hop on the rides!”

Ryan said, “Don’t worry. I won’t knock on your door and intrude. I’ll wait for you near your house and we’ll count down to the new year together tonight.” “I don’t need you to have a countdown with me. The reason I returned from Canberra is to celebrate the new year with my parents.” Freya was so annoyed that she wanted to lash out at someone. The other side of the phone went silent. After that, Ryan said resignedly, “I’ll look for a hotel and stay there for a night, then. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Perhaps because I was too tired, I fell asleep at the wrong time; the following day, I woke up quite early when the sun had not yet risen and the sky was still overcast. I changed my clothes and took the opportunity to sneak out; I know Ryan's biological clock well. He usually wakes up at eight o'clock in the morning and goes to bed as early as 11 p.m. He's probably still sleeping in his library right now. It's also not the first time we've separated, Ryan always avoids bothering me when he's late for work, and I'm also aware that he cares about me a lot. But these past few days, I've been sad because of how it has been.

Stone’s POV “Wow, Alpha it’s 4:15am,” Ryan’s voice rings through. “Give me 10 minutes and I'll meet you in the office,” Bella says sleepily. “Okay, coffee in the office,” Ryan closes the door again. “He just walks in whenever?” I ask. “I’m normally dressed and up at 4, we meet at 4:15,” she tells me as she gets up. I’m guessing she used some sort of super speed, because before I could get out of bed she was already showered and dressed.

I asked. “You have Reece tonight and most of the weekend, so probably not till next week now” Ryan smiled over his shoulder at me. “So, Monday night?” I smiled back. “It’s a date” He grinned. “Me too” Grant chuckled

I was going to have a little chat with Lisa about it. Mr. Spencer parked the car in front of the building. The Ryan office was very close to Central Park, where there were huge commercial buildings housing many large companies. The Ryan building was impressive; in my research, I found out it had over forty floors. The name "Ryan Enterprises Holdings Inc." was written in huge golden letters on the façade. The entire building was made of dark mirrored glass, making it impossible to see inside. There were a series of steps leading up to the entrance. We climbed the stairs and walked towards the revolving doors, which had more golden details and transparent glass.

In the middle of it, she suddenly gasped, “If I make you feel this good… can I get that promotion?” Ryan didn’t stop. He kept thrusting hard, ignoring the request, focused only on chasing his own release. I checked the time on my phone again. It was already almost 10 PM. Ryan usually came home between 8:30 and 9. Tonight was different. The house felt too quiet and empty. I paced the living room for a while, then sat on the couch, phone in hand. I picked it up and dialed his number.

Ryan wished he had the courage to tell her everything he knew—and everything he didn't. Instead, he simply nodded. "I promise I'll explain when I can." Olivia searched his face before offering a small smile. "I'll hold you to that." At exactly eight o'clock that evening, Ryan arrived at Bayside Park. The waterfront shimmered beneath the city lights. Couples walked hand in hand. Joggers passed by without paying him any attention. The place looked perfectly ordinary. Which somehow made it even more unsettling. Ryan checked his watch. Eight o'clock. Nothing happened.
