His wolf was a dark brown, the same color as his hair, and stood about as tall as a horse. Ryker was the middle child and he was one hundred percent Fae. He didn’t have a drop of wolf blood in him. That’s not saying that he wasn’t powerful because he was. His power wasn’t quite as strong as Mom’s, but he was quite a bit stronger than the other Fae. He had all the powers of both courts, but the only thing he was unable to do was use ice. He could frost things over, but try hard as he could he could not make ice. I shook my head, panic and fury rising. “No,” I snapped, voice cracking. “I’d rather go home and face everything in Mooncrest than stay here and be used as your sex toy.” The words hit him hard. His jaw clenched as he stepped closer, towering over me. “You think I’m just using you?” he growled, voice low and dangerous. “Fine.” He placed the box on the desk beside me.

His callused thumbs stroked across the delicate skin of her cheekbones, leaving trails of tingling fire in their wake. "Mags?" She shook her head. "No. But I just wanted to establish who is who and what is what. Makes for fewer misunderstandings down the line." Ryker thumbed the hammer back down, lowered the gun.
