“So what you two are trying to say is Agatha Morrow—who happens to be a Lycan—is a reincarnation of your dead mother?” Ryan’s voice cracked slightly at the end, a mix of disbelief and frustration. He stared at Rhunar and Fenrik across the table where they sat to listen to the story, his fingers drumming hard against the edge. The sound was sharp in the tense room, a constant tap-tap like a heartbeat growing too loud.

Jade's eyelashes fluttered open as she suddenly emerged into cognizance. It was as if an internal alarm were sounding at the forefront of her brain. The lack of rest she'd gotten the night before held no bearing as her thoughts assembled all at once, turning into a chaotic panic. An ocherous glow radiated throughout the bedroom, indicating that it was morning- more specifically, it was Sunday morning. She instantly sprang up, fully alert now. Had she slept through her alarm? I can tell she is angry or worried about something, given how she is looking at the few children who are playing behind the store area we were currently at, I guess her anger was directed at the city. Who will blame her though? The children appearance says it all. Their thin shrivelled bodies move with such slow pace as one throws a pebble into a little hole the others must have made, the movement is almost painful. Another goes to inspect the throw, rubbing his flat chest that holds his ribs which are almost bulging out of his skin, as he moves with the same slow space as the others. Red eye weren't close at all. A week of being in a closed room, and I was getting frustrated. I was properly fed and by now, it was only scare that covered a major part of my body. It's being a week I've gone to school and anyone was yet to reach out to me. By anyone, I meant Shirley and her dad. Mr. Red eye also seemed to be avoiding me, which I wasn't pleased with. There was something in me that always wanted to see him at all times.

Come on, silver hair dye died ages ago, you should keep up.” This time it’s Tracy, who’s on my right, while Alexa laughs on my left. I try my best to ignore them and concentrate but their high-pitched laughter is making my ears itch.

There was nothing. Spotless. Raine was a person that looked expensive. I was one to notice what she was wearing just like everyone else, but I saw the wandering of her eyes. When she knew she was right, and had a ground to stand tall on, she never blinked. When she was uncomfortable, she'd roll her eyes before breaking eye contact. Many people would take that as Raine shrugging them off, but he from what he could gather, it was something that she did to hide her self consciousness.The truth it, she didn’t know how to react, and the rolling of her eyes, was the one thing that would get her out of whatever situation she was in.

What kind of name is that?” Michael questioned with amused smile “well, I am not 100% sure but it is an Indian Mythological character from Ramayan ?”
