Hunt Me, Mark Me
I asked, looking at him, waiting eagerly for him to spill.
He only spared me a glance, eyes void of emotion and nothing else.
The rest of the drive was basically me sobbing and him giving me glances but saying nothing. We drove for a while and it got dark eventually, but then he pulled up at a fucking nightclub.
The hell?
“Is this where he would never think I'll be,” I asked genuinely confused.
“You'll be safer here than anywhere you could imagine,” he responded in that light tone.
A massive LED sign glared above the entrance. A SAFE PLACE—that’s what it read in bold, glowing white light. The letters buzzed softly, almost ironic for a nightclub, but the name somehow fit.
