“Come here and kneel by my side.” Aurora sniffed me hard and happily went to kneel by Sage. “I will get on with it, Kieran but at my own pace. I want to drag out the torture.” Sage replied. “The more time we you waste, the more trouble brews back at Silver Crest.” I urged. Sage smiled. “Time works differently here, Kieran, by the time we return to Silver Crest, no one would even notice we were gone.” She revealed. “Stand up, the both of you,” she said and both Aurora and Madame X got to their feet. Sage stood up last and began to undress herself before my eyes.

Jesse needed medical help and I couldn’t get it for him quick enough. “You’re bleeding again,” I said, wondering if he would live to see sunlight again. I didn’t know what to do. Jesse was dying right before my eyes. I knew we needed to get help, what I didn’t know was how to get past the snarling wolves. We couldn’t call for help because our cell phones had no signal out in the middle of nowhere and there was no land line in the cabin. I touched Jesse’s arm. “Please,” I begged, “You need to lay down.”

The face was all scratched up, and anything on her body that could prove her identity was taken away, so we suspect it's an intentional murder. Hearing that the body was salvaged from Salakole, Winston paused for a moment, then he put on his sterile gloves with a poker face. I floated in mid-air, staring at the man in front of me. Three years... It had been three years since I died. After I died, my soul was trapped in Salakole, suffering in the fierce wind and freezing weather all day. Until someone found me, they brought me back. But I didn't expect that Winston was the person who would personally dissect me.

Beside him Beta Kavish is alarmed. He punches keys in his cell phone as he furiously barks orders to subordinate wolves. He gestures to someone.

“I’ll do what it takes. I won’t let Ursula win.” The Seer checked him with a compassionate stare but did not chatter. He was old enough to know that Sage's choice was not an easy choice to make. For the next three days Sage would recuperate, be fortified and get ready. The Seer would lead him back, restoring his force. On the other hand, even though he recovered in fact, Sage understood that the actual fight was about to begin.

Gael, Hakeem, and I had passed out after four hours of non-stop mating. I was sandwiched between my two men, my head resting on Hakeem’s chest and Gael’s leg and arm thrown over both of us as he snuggled into my back. I felt as if I had just fallen asleep when flashes and fragments of dreams began to play through my mind. They were disjointed, speeding through my mind almost too fast to catch. There is Charlie holding two pups in her arms, the pack being attacked on the western front, Arya fallen to her knees sobbing in the middle of a battlefield, funeral pyres, me looking down at my pregnant stomach with Gael and Hakeem smiling down at me, whoops of victory and wails of defeat. Udhav said and left with Shanaya. "Bye uncle" Shanaya greeted Sagar and left with her father. "Are you an idiot and do you even know what big mistake you do?" Sagar scolded his son. Sameer doesn't understand what to say. "And what with that girl Mayuri? I tell you that if you like her then you can keep her, but never let Shanaya know about this" Sagar once again scolded his son. He regrets that he give that girl a chance. He even get ahead and invested in one of her films. Udhav uses this also to break the engagement.

When we finally arrive, I step out of the car, the cold air biting at my skin. "Welcome back," Jace says, his tone cold, like this is some victory for him. But it’s not. It’s a death sentence for me. As we approach the steps, Sasha greets me, asking if I need help settling in. I want to scream. I want to break everything around me. But I just nod, forcing another fake smile. "Sure, that would be great."

I looked towards the bedroom, and then Sage came out with three big bags. “What on earth is all of this babe, “ I asked. “Stuff, you three ladies open it,” Sage says. I took one bag, Melissa took one, and then Vic took one also, “ Ready,” the men said. “Yes, Sir’s we are.” We ladies said. “Open the bags now, ladies,” Sage says. I am so excited, and I wonder what these men are up to? I thought. I heard a scream and then happy tears going down Vick’s face, pregnancy hormones.

Lyra's POV We moved out under a sky that had not decided what it wanted to be and the four of us moved through it with the specific wordlessness of people who have looked at the same maps and understood the same terrain and do not need to rehearse what they have already absorbed. The node was three kilometers northeast. The plan was inside all of us. The only variable was the one that plans could never account for, which was everything the plan did not know.
