I wanted the days to speed by, wanted the moments to run like wild horses until I was standing in the midst of my vengeance. Unknowingly, I had gathered magic into my hands. The ball of fire spun lazily in my palm, layer upon layer of color weaving itself: burning blue at the core, stretching into tongues of yellow and red, fringed with a crown of gold. Sparks licked the air around it, sizzling with power. Beneath the orb, I had unknowingly pulled water into a small pool—liquid shimmering, rippling, holding the fire aloft without burning. "Sage."

' Kisa could faintly feel the fire catching onto the corner of her clothes, emitting a terrible smell. 'My whole body will be on fire at this rate.' She was about to jump up from the couch when suddenly, a bucket of cold water poured all over her. The water extinguished the fire in an instant. Sara stood aside with the bucket in her hand and sneered, "Although you are destined to be burned to death, this is not the time. I need to have a witness to prove that it was suicide." "Hahaha… Hahaha…" Sara began to let out a wild laugh after saying that. Her laughter was eerie.

Moving his hand, Alaric controlled the fire he had spat from his dragon, and soon, it was like a wave of watery fire, flowing against the lands and into the forest. He suddenly spat out blood and nearly fell from the sky, but he got a hold of himself. He closed his eyes, breathing in a deep breath and wiping away the blood from his mouth. He continued from where he stopped, controlling the water fire, making sure that it had the right amount of heat so as not to damage or kill. Finally, the fireballs glowing inside the sculptures got so bright that the sculptures started cracking, turning into water, and melting.

"Water from the ley line spring! It might help!" Siron caught the vial. The water within shimmered. He ripped off the cap and splashed it toward the fiery giant. As the water hit the flames, a violent hissing sound erupted, and the fire in that spot was briefly extinguished. "Ley line water? Clever. But not enough." Alaric flicked his hand, and the flames roared back to life. But Siron had an idea. "Kit, Stefan, we need more water! There’s a well in the center of the temple garden!"
