Sage asked as I sighed, turning away from her. "Sage I am okay, if you're done arranging the dress please leave my room I really would appreciate staying alone" I said as tears streamed down my cheeks. I hate him so much! Just when I thought we are becoming closer as a couple, he disappointed me by letting me know that he doesn't have feelings for me. "My queen tomorrow is your ritual with the queens of seven kingdoms" Sage said as my mind raced back to what she told me about the ritual and how I will be given a difficult task even with my very big baby bump all to make me strong and ready for child delivery.

To be honest, I have no idea who the monarch is and I haven’t met him ever because from the way I heard it, the monarch actually came from another region - well, he was just transferred here in the southeastern region because this is his birthplace. I may have not met him in person however, I have heard a couple of people from the society say that the monarch is actually scary and a cold person - that you will instantly fear him the moment that you look into his eyes. However, I am quite skeptical about that - I won’t believe it unless I will see it for myself.

I wonder why he is upset by the sight of her, they have never talked to each other not that I remember. Sage stands tall and confident, her eyes locked with Cane's. "I'm more than just a pawn," she retorts, her voice dripping with defiance but I don't caution her. "I've seen the truth, Cane. I know what you and the Alpha King are capable of." I smile and felt a bit better. All the handkerchief was collected and placed on the table in front of His Majesty.
