"See you soon," she said and cut off their mind link. Sage nodded his head in agreement as though she could see him. He continued his book and was done with it, he packed the remaininf book he had been reading and headed to the King's chamber. On his way, he met Rae who bowed in respect, making Sage go into shock. Why has Gamma bowed to him? He laughed and shook his head instantly when he grasped why Rae had bowed to him.

She nodded and said, “I’ll leave our parents to you then. Tell me, what would you like me to bring you when I come back from Wyvern Peak.” Trent said, “The only gift I want is for you to come home safely. That’ll be the best gift.” Sage shed tears upon hearing his words. She turned around, hugged her brother, and said through her tears, “I promise you that I’ll come home safely. I’m eagerly waiting to attend your wedding.” “It’s a deal then,” said Trent. “Mm-hm, deal,” replied Sage.

Ryder POV “Are you okay?” Sage asked, worriedly. I've been darting my eyes around looking for Zayn, but I can't find him. Then who brought Flora here? “Ryder?” I heard Sage voice again, I roll my eyes. “I'm okay, man” I turned to him and told him. “You don't seem so to me, you've been looking around like you're searching for someone here since you returned from the restroom,” he pressed on.

I breathed, my eyes looking on in wonder. My eyes grazed every vibrant petal, every crisp leaf, and every blade of grass. This small patch of earth was like a personal heaven, a private glade for Sage and her brooding son. "This, Aurora, is my ability." Inside my mind, Sage erupted with excitement, her voice echoing loudly. "Mine! Mate!" she shouted, her usual composure completely gone. She was practically swooning over Rolo, her emotions flooding into me in a dizzying rush. "He's here! Our mate!" she cooed, filled with joy. A pang of frustration hit Sage as we realised I couldn't shift to join him; the circumstances wouldn't allow it.

I set my pen down, looking up from the stack of papers I'd been attempting to focus on. "Sage," I said, trying to keep my voice neutral. "What are you doing here?"
