Why the hell did I believe him? I gritted my teeth, jaw aching. Tipping my head to one side, I spit some of the blood still slowly pooling in my mouth. None of my teeth felt loose as I prodded my mouth with my tongue, but I wouldn’t be confident in my assessment until I could look in a mirror — or at least touch my mouth. Instead, I was forced to watch as my saliva slipped through the golden strands of hay at my feet, disappearing onto the wooden stable floor.

She struggled to produce sufficient saliva to moisten it enough for her tongue to move freely. “Not again,” she moaned as she slowly got to her feet. There were bits of dried blood on her chest. She could feel it on her neck as well. She quickly inspected her body for injuries. To her relief, she found none. The blood wasn’t hers. Or, was it? Remembering how well the Epsom salts bath had healed her the month before, she wondered if she showed no signs of hurt because she’d bathed in an Epsom salts bath just before going to bed.

When I woke up early the next morning, no one was beside my bed. Mom had already gone to make breakfast. For some reason, my stomach hurt badly this morning. I promise." I spat a clot of blood on the floor of the tub. "It wasn't like that before, I swear it. There was spit, not blood."

Tossing the quilt off me I sit up and place my feet down on the floor and rise, my head instantly starts to spin and I have to sit back down again and wait for it to subside. I know there isn't anything wrong with my blood sample, I where down at the doctor's two days ago, and everything where fine. I moved my head from side to side to see inside my mouth, blood was there between my teeths. Suddenly eyes started to become blurry. I blinked a few times but it didn't clear. Tilting my head a little I tried to wipe the blood from my face but when I saw my hand there was no blood. In astonishment I looked up again and every trace of blood had vanished. There was nothing, not even a drop.

The male lets out a low, rough groan as the sharp pain hits his mouth, and that little bite lights a scorching forest fire inside both of our spirits. The hot feel of his mouth against my teeth is so real that my mind doesn't even feel like it is sleeping. The second the morning sun hits my eyelids, I jump up and realize my body is completely alone on the furs. But a strange, stinging pain is throbbing right on the corner of my lip. I lift my fingers to touch my mouth, and my breath catches when my skin comes away wet. It is a tiny smear of fresh, red blood.

- THE NEXT DAY- Gianna's POV; I woke up this morning very tired and I felt disoriented. I was not ready to start my day. I felt very weak. My mouth started getting full of saliva and I knew what was coming. I quickly got up from the bed trying my hardest not to disturb a sleeping Adriano. My knees banged against the floor in front of the toilet and I threw up in it. My body was not cooperating with me. I felt very odd this morning.
