They were supposed to be making the usual boring announcement about takeoff. Instead, one of them stood stiff like he was on parade, chest puffed out, and bellowed, “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking except I’m not your captain, I’m your humble servant, here to make sure you don’t die in the air today.”

Sky could no longer hold back her curiosity. The captain smiled faintly. "Her name is Summer." Louis and Sky were wide-eyed. "Summer?" The captain curled up his lips. "Yes. Summer Harper. At first, I thought it was just a prank call. But after hearing the way she spoke and knowing her name, I believed the situation was serious. I suggest you contact her immediately. She is very restless." Sky nodded quickly. Beside her, Louis said, "Thank you, Captain Alvarez. We will contact her immediately."

Music pulsed, and the air smelled like stale soda and adrenaline. Sky stepped in and immediately felt her blood kick up into something feral. “Alright,” she said, turning to Caleb and Charlie. “We’re doing this my way.” Charlie’s eyes scanned the room automatically, tracking exits, corners, elevated platforms, anything that could hide an enemy ten-year-old with vengeance in their heart. Caleb nodded eagerly. “Yes. Captain.” Sky pointed. “Caleb, you’re bait.” Caleb’s smile faltered. “Wait, what?” “You look approachable,” she said. “You have golden retriever energy. People will chase you.”

So, no big deal. Sky lifted his arms in mock triumph, skating around the ice in victory with some soft grin on his face. He just stood there, soaking in the praise from his team. Then he drifted past me, and his voice dropped low enough for only me to hear. "One to nil, Captain. Think you should wake up." What the fuck? What's wrong with this guy? Just one goal, and he is saying to wake up. Really?

"What are you smirking about!" "Would you like something to drink, Sir?" The flight attendant inquired as Ophelia and Onyx looked up. "Captain." The flight attendant smiled as she nodded to Ophelia. "Hello, Sky." "Campaign, please," Onyx stated solemnly, returning his gaze to the computer screen, and Ophelia glanced at him, then back at Sky. "I'd like some water. Thank you. " Sky gave a nod and Ophelia smiled. When Onyx felt Ophelia's intense glare burning through his head and he returned his gaze to her. "What?"

Her mouth actually fell open. Brad, to his credit, tried to play it cool. He smirked and gestured between us like we were old friends. “Stacey, this is Sebastian,” he said smoothly. “Sebastian, this is my girl, Stacey.” I gave her a small, polite nod. “Hey.” Her face was surprised with her mouth almost opening wide, like she had just discovered the juiciest piece of gossip in all of Hawthorne. The captain of Westfield suddenly living under the same roof as her boyfriend?

This time I smirk at the speechless man, the table growing quiet to watch the three of us closely. “Sky needs a second in command, and since you were the first to swear your loyalty to me and judging by how he trusts you, I want you as Vice Captain.” I state, leaving no room for arguments. Sky his shaking beside me, doing his best to stifle his chuckles as the rest of the men watch with amusement.

"You're in my way, Captain," Jules panted, his voice dripping with that fake innocence that always made my jaw tick. He pushed his helmet up, running a gloved hand through his sweat-dampened hair, completely unfazed by the fact that I was towering over him. "Unless you're planning to ask me out, you need to back off." I leaned in closer, letting him feel the sheer size of me, letting him smell the sweat and the cold air clinging to my jersey.
