SILVER BLOOD
With shaky hands, I opened the book, preparing myself to answer whatever questions he had—if it meant saving my life, which, against all odds, had been spared just a week ago.
Why was I saved, only to die later? I thought bitterly. It feels so stupid, useless even.
“What was your intention after you woke up?” He asked, pulling his chair close and sitting down. "When you realized you were still alive and in a completely different pack?"
“I didn’t think much about it. I only thought about how lucky I was to be saved,” I wrote.
"Now that you’re awake and well, wouldn’t you like to return to your pack?" he suggested.
