THE MISJUDGED LUNA

THE MISJUDGED LUNA

Asking about it again was like setting herself up for a teasing Kihara cleared her head. Lady Walter was talking. “Humans have their myths and folklores.” Lady Walter was saying. Kihara nodded, smiling as her thoughts caught up to the new topic. Werewolves used to be one of those myths, until they -humans- found out the creatures are not only born of the imagination, they actually existed. “Well, so do werewolves.” At Kihara’s look of surprise, Lady Walter scoffed. “What? You don’t think we have our own stories that we tell our children? Every culture has it’s own boogie man to scare the kids into behaving. We had ours.”

DOMUS MALUM

DOMUS MALUM

“I want to understand you. You will teach me how to understand you,” “I have a new theory.” Faye slumped on the couch beside Selene who was getting ready for her work. The seemingly sunny day was not in sync with her mood, she barely got any sleep and it has been going on for three days straight after she left Domus Malum, feeling bewitched. “So.. I have read about an Irish folklore called “Candies for the Soul” which talks about a supernatural being that lurks in the forest or mountains, it is famous because people are flocking outside till midnight calling for its name to grant them three wishes..”

The Alpha's Rejected Luna

Her determination drove her forward. Suddenly, piercing the silence of the night, a spine-chilling howl echoed through the forest. It was a sound that sent shivers down her spine and made her hair stand on end. It was the unmistakable cry of werewolves, creatures of folklore and legend. The hairs on the back of her neck stood tall as she realized they were closing in on her.

Some even call it the “Bermuda Triangle of Romania.” According to local legends, ghosts and spirits lurk among the crooked trees. One tale tells of a young girl who disappeared into the forest, only to reappear five years later unable to remember where she had been. Another legend speaks of a shepherd who, along with his sheep, vanished within the woods. And, with most places associated with the supernatural, there are also rumors of alien encounters.

Dad says quickly as Ken's mouth falls open. Then he shifts his eyes to me, and I see the same fear my dad had when mom got sick in his eyes. "Baby girl, I'm so so sorry. I failed. I took you to the office to expose you to politics, but I exposed you to those supernatural monsters. I'm sorry I called you a liar, honey. It was just the easiest way to relax, Officer Curtis.....What you saw was real. Five supernatural species co-exist on this Earth with us. The most dangerous being vampires and werewolves. The others have never been seen. They keep to themselves or use magic to stay hidden I don't know which. The day I took you to the office, one of the werewolf's leaders was there. He wor

Rising Of The Luna

Rising Of The Luna

I started the journey, I walked for two hours, and I wasn’t scared as I had my sword, my backpack and myself. I got to the river. I was thinking of sleeping there but then I started hearing voices and it seemed like the cold night river. I have heard about that river and how it can be. It is a place where spirits roam but it is famous for the Tell Tale spirit. The Tell-Tale spirit is a spirit that appears to tell you your future and it is always bad, it rarely comes out though, it has been disregarded as one of those old stories. I turned around to get away from the river and then it became extremely foggy all of a sudden and cold too, fear gripped me immediately and I knew I was in for it.

The Supernatural Spa

The Supernatural Spa

+++++++++ STORY 1: The Child The place that my ex-husband and I lived (we have already been separated for almost a decade) at the time when I was pregnant with Rica was somewhere hidden but had plenty of well-known stories about aswang, tiktik, and manananggal. There were many of them seen in that particular town and a lot of people have become victims of these folklore carnivores. One of those cases has even been broadcasted on a local news show- one 5-6-year-old child was slaughtered right inside his own room… The nanny let in a stranger who was asking for water, and she and her charge were the only ones at home at the time. She invited him in and while she was getting the glass of water f

Leah also gave a look of disapproval. "Callie, I agree with them. I just wasted my time." I got up when I remembered that I was on my way to the garden. "What? Those stories are pretty lame, to begin with." "Not when nana tells them." The kids retorted. Nana arrived soon to tell a different version of the first werewolf that happened in Egypt where people considered shapeshifting a gift and not a curse. I grew up listening to nana's stories, about demon kings and dragon queens and all things fantasy. My all-time favorite was the story of my mother, except for the part where she dies.

Mated to the Wolf and Dragon

Mated to the Wolf and Dragon

But the girl carried on regardless, her large brown eyes reflecting her anxiety. "My father told me the story when I was little, to make sure I did not stay out late at night. He said that every ten years a creature would come to this place, a beast, damned and with a lust for human blood. It would prey on the innocent, for all eternity, or until one pure of heart could have the courage to destroy it for good." "Folk-law and superstition," Crimson uttered. "I have heard many such tales, all the same. They are stories to scare children and nothing more."
