As he made his way across the room, he glanced at the bookshelves he passed but saw no books here that were turned upside down. Upstairs, he placed the book on an entry table in the hallway then paused, ears alert for any sounds like he’d heard this morning. Despite his love of horror, or perhaps because of it, Brad had never been easily unnerved. Scary movies, haunted trails and spook houses, most had little effect on him, and as for real life, he reserved his fear for things like disease, natural disasters, catastrophic accidents. It took more than an empty house to give him the creeps. Usually.

COMEBACK OF THE REJECTED WIFE.

COMEBACK OF THE REJECTED WIFE.

~ ANNIKA ~ We walked up the stairs, our gazes sharp and alert. We didn't want any of the occupants in the abandoned building to know our steps. Ben took the lead, leaving me in the rear. I was scared, thinking of someone jumping from the dark to dig their claws into my chest. The image I got was vivid. It didn't help that I recalled horror movies I watched years ago. The people at the back are mostly the ones who die first.

ALPHA DORIAN

ALPHA DORIAN

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I ran my fingers over the embossed title: Nightstalkers; Hunting the Creatures of the Night. As I opened the book, I felt a shiver run down my spine. The pages were old and worn, their corners curling up from years of use. The illustrations within were both beautiful and terrifying, depicting hunters fighting against the creatures I had come to learn about; werewolves, vampires, and other beasts of the night. As I read through the book, I felt my heart racing with excitement and fear. I learned about the different types of hunters and their techniques for tracking and killing these dangerous creatures. Fear overtook me as I thought of Dorian, fighting ag

Horror washed over me as it was my stepfather who let out a scream, causing me to recoil. "Honey? What's wrong with you guys?" My mother asked, her voice filled with worry as she hurried over to me. "He-his hand..." I struggled to form coherent sentences. I felt a rush of anxiety, my skin crawling, and I wished the ground would swallow me whole. My stepfather was a deeply troubled man. Still in shock, I stumbled away from them, hearing my brother shout at my stepfather as he realized what I meant.

Alpha's Regret

Alpha's Regret

Stephanie absentmindedly twisted a lock of her hair as she watched Caleb and Kayla play outside. The sunlight filtered through the large windows, casting golden light across the room, but despite the serene atmosphere, a heavy feeling pressed upon her. She couldn’t shake the lingering feeling of unease that had settled over her since the night the sorceress had warned them about Kayla and the impending doom. And then the rabbits—the eerie, inexplicable sight of those mangled bodies littering the pack’s grounds—had only fueled her anxiety. It was one thing for Damien to wave off the strange occurrences, but Stephanie’s instincts screamed that something was wrong.

CHARMSTIDJA
I hate it when an abused FL ended up with the male who had been abusing and tormenting her to begin with in spite of whatever reasons! no excuse for any man to ill-treat his true faithful partner I will never accept that Je*k back especially with him whoring while treating his mate as trash..
Black Dwarf
I enjoyed reading this book until Damien proved himself Alpha again. It’s not the story that is bad but the character development. The initial development that author provided is no more infact it’s gone negatively in recent updates. Some key characters are ignored. I am almost done with this book.

Short Scary Stories

Short Scary Stories

In 1983 a Mrs Carson of New York was laid out in our coffin, presumed dead of hear disease. As mourners watched, she suddenly sat up, alive as you or I. Unfortunately her daughter dropped dead of fright on the spot. I don't own any of this stories. I found them in some creepy books. I'm thinking of writing my own scary stories, but not anytime soon. You can send me your short stories for a feature if you feel like it. Thanks for reading. Enjoy!I don't own any of this stories. I found them in some creepy books. Princess Of My Kingdom

Princess Of My Kingdom

In that hall where the throne seat is located, the sounds of screams were terrifyingly loud, the screams of people struggling with death as if they were struggling with hell, which is really hell. Inside there was the stunned, the shocked, the frightened, the terrified, the happy, and there were those who had all of these characteristics, but he was definitely unhappy. Leanne put her hand on her mouth out of shock while her tears fell like rivers on her cheeks. Maximus and Harold Tarrah watched and around her at other times in astonishment while Merritt, the star girl, was clinging on. Leanne is terrified of what is happening, and looks at Stephen and at other times at Maximus and Harold, an

Alpha Brocks Mate

Alpha Brocks Mate

Life had transformed into an exhilarating, frenetic ride—a roller coaster that twisted and turned with the wild energy of Stephanie's presence. Under normal circumstances, fear and I were strangers. But as I teetered on the brink of a bubbling cauldron, primal terror took hold. Desperation surged within me, a wild, flailing attempt to evade my scalding demise. Beside me, Stephi's frantic struggles mirrored my own—equally futile, equally frantic. My eyes slammed shut, holding my breath, as I plummeted into the abyss, expecting searing agony.

Fated to my sister's husband.

Fated to my sister's husband.

There was a weird creature - the scariest thing I had ever seen - staring at me from the other end of the library. A monster, a very gigantic monster with mouths that were wide enough to swallow two humans at once, green eyes and slimy black skin. And he stank! But his smell was the least of my concerns because the monster had his round eyes right on me and he was walking slowly towards me like a predator stalking his prey. Run! My mind yelled at me. Move your damn bones and run! But I couldn't get myself to look away, I could not get myself to move a muscle.

The Hockey Star's Remorse

The Hockey Star's Remorse

A shiver ran down my spine, an inexplicable unease settling within me as I scanned the surroundings. My pace quickened, the desire to reach the safety of my home urging me forward. I could still smell the chloroform filling my nostrils, and the phantom hand wrapping around my neck as it pulled me away from civilization. The sound of my own footsteps echoed louder in the eerie silence, each step resonating with an unsettling rhythm. As I turned the corner, my heart skipped a beat. A figure stood beneath the flickering streetlight, shrouded in darkness, waiting. My breath caught in my throat, and a wave of fear washed over me.

Frequently Asked Questions

The scariest Stephen King book for me has to be 'It'. There's something about Pennywise that just crawls under your skin and stays there. The way King blends childhood fears with supernatural horror is masterful. I read it as a teenager, and the image of Georgie's yellow raincoat haunted me for weeks. The Losers' Club feels so real, their bond so genuine, that when Pennywise threatens them, it's terrifying on a deeply personal level.

What really gets me is how King plays with the concept of fear itself. The clown isn't just scary because it's a monster; it's scary because it represents everything we're afraid of. The book's length might seem daunting, but every page drips with dread. I still get shivers thinking about the scene in the basement with Beverly's father. That combination of real-world horror and cosmic terror is why 'It' stands out to me.
