Scarlet also bent down to pick up a box that had rolled to the side of the road. I don't know what made me look up, but I saw a black Hummer from the other end of the road speeding towards Scarlet, as if they didn't even notice someone was in the middle of the road. Whoever was driving didn't seem to have the intention to stop and that immediately made me square up. It was like they’re doing this purposefully.
