She wanted badly to shut her ears tightly but her chained hands couldn't do much. She continues to draw backwards, heart pounding loudly against her chest. The figure stood towering over her. Lily screamed and shut her eyes so tight. So tight that she wouldn't mind escaping into the darkness of her closed eyes than be awake to watch the scary monster before her devour her.

She could not stop now. She closed her eyes and mashed the button on the remote. The typical eerie music spiraled out from the speakers and curled through the air and into her ears. The ominous score was comforting in its familiarity, in all the pleasant memories forged in the vibrating soundtrack to a horror movie; yet there was something else flowing beneath that sensation. Something tight and unnerving.

Close enough that their noses almost touched. She leaned back slightly, putting some space between them. Her heartbeat sped up. Not because she was weak- But because his face, that dangerously perfect face, had been way too close.

The tone was more like a horror movie. Hannah had been watching for over twenty minutes and was starting to feel a bit scared to continue. She leaned against Kendall, who was sitting beside her. No one was speaking in the living room, only the sound of the movie. Suddenly, a close-up shot, and Hannah was so scared that she immediately covered her eyes and screamed, "I don't want to watch anymore! Turn it off, turn it off!" Kendall glanced at her and turned off the TV with the remote control, saying, "Is it really that scary?"
