I’ll go first. I’ll tell you a ghost story from when I was filming in Aeriflux.” The moment everyone heard it happened overseas, they visibly relaxed. For some reason, as long as it wasn’t a story that happened domestically, it just felt less scary.

I have heard creepy, terrifying stories about how some of the supernatural mystical creatures decide to plague the school and turn it into their playground every single night, making it somewhat terrifying for students who decide to have some alone time in the middle of the night back at school. Some human students have never lived to tell the tale, and a few others who had survived had experienced the most traumatic situations of their lives—they had to be taken to therapy to recover from whatever terrifying experience had been rendered unto

Eventually, with time, more and more of these presences will find a place in these vacant and unoccupied spaces, and more people will be aware of them causing more fear that they can feed on. They would paralyze you and then their grubs would feed off you, slowly eating you alive. That was a favorite. Since I was ten years old, you have been using them as a story to keep me scared. "Because it is true!" I yell, louder than I mean to. The counters reverberate with my words. Do you believe that I wanted any of this? Do you think it's fun for me to lock you up and act like it's normal?

As the stories got scarier, I noticed a few of the younger pack members huddling closer to their parents, seeking comfort and reassurance. Soon, it was my turn to share a story. Feeling the weight of the moment, I cleared my throat and began my tale. "In a small village, there was a haunted mansion. It was said that the spirit of a vengeful witch roamed the halls, seeking revenge on anyone who dared to enter her domain..." I let my imagination run wild, conjuring spine-chilling scenes and mysterious characters. The pack leaned in closer, their eyes wide with fascination, hanging onto every word I spoke. The suspenseful atmosphere made my heart race with excitement.

“Story!” I couldn’t help but smile. “You want a story?” I asked, stifling a laugh. The children nodded excitedly. “The wolf story!” one of them exclaimed. “We want to hear the wolf story again!” How could I refuse? The ‘wolf story’ in question was one that I had made up yesterday on the spot, a story about a rogue wolf chasing a little girl. It was a scary story that had made the children gasp, their eyes wide with fear, but they seemed to love it.

A murmur spread through the hall — someone laughed, someone asked, “What do you mean, sir?” Raghavan replied, “We will tell stories. One by one. Stories of fear. But remember — every story must carry the scent of truth. Because fear… does not live in lies.” A cold shiver ran through the room. Some students protested, but the professor only smiled and said, “If you don’t believe me, let’s begin with my story.” And slowly, he sat down. The candlelight flickered across his face — and he began to speak.

Tess I find many things in this world scary: walking to the bathroom late at night when you don’t have a nightlight on, fake friends, the members of the Safir pack, and last, and probably my biggest fear, is the thought of spending eternity alone. Sue me for thinking that’s a terrible fate, but that is how I feel without lying to myself.
