Samantha replied, "We have a good supply of medical equipment, including bandages, splints, and medicine. The scouts spoke in hushed voices, their faces pale with fear. Elara worked without rest, preparing the healing hut for what was coming. Supplies were stockpiled, beds prepared, assistants trained. She moved through the hut like a ghost, checking bandages, organizing herbs, sharpening knives. Marta moved among them, her old face grim but steady, her hands never idle. Luna helped where she could, her young hands learning skills that no child should have to know.

She peeked her head up to look at them through the door window, confirming they were the two from earlier. One was a Scout breed, bred by the Aliane to track anything no mater how old the sent was. Once they picked up on the trail the only ways to get them off it was either to start a fire around the area or to shoot them. The other was a Hunter breed. Hunter breeds are stronger than the Scout breed, so they were often paired up. The Scout would track the target while the Hunter would chase it down. The third breed type is Soldier; a K9 bred to be large and strong, used almost exclusivly during raids and battles.

All in their formal formation, whilst the medical personnel were busying carrying injured people from the side of the trucks.

The scout nodded vigorously, scurried off like a frightened rodent, and vanished into thin air. Within a mere five minutes, the scout returned, accompanied by a group of peculiar beastmen who stood out from the rest. Clad in savage animal hides and adorned with an assortment of feathers, their bodies smeared with a crimson substance, these witch doctors were enough to send shivers down the spine of any child. "What did this scout blabber about, General?" one of the witch doctors inquired. "Have you once again spewed nonsense in front of our esteemed leader?" another witch doctor chimed in, his voice dripping with disdain.

The rogues have broken through our outer defenses! Instantly, the relative calm of the past hour shattered. Xander immediately began barking orders, his Alpha authority taking over. I knelt beside the injured scout, my hands already glowing as I worked to heal his wounds. “How many?” I asked urgently, even as I poured healing energy into him. “Dozens,” the scout panted. “Maybe more. They appeared suddenly, like dark figures in the night.” Once the scout's injuries were healed, Xander assisted him in standing up. “Sound the alarm,” he ordered. “Get every able-bodied wolf ready for battle.”

She then considers me and Kai once more before shaking her head in disbelief and then replies, “then I’ll request enough for everyone.
