The Pale Queen stepped forward from the shadows, her alabaster skin glowing faintly beneath the moss-draped trees. Her eyes, pale and unreadable, locked onto Sophie. Odessa’s voice dropped to a whisper, sharp as a blade. “She marked Sophie. Breaking that bond means killing her.” Junie’s breath caught, muscles tensing. They are here!” Kayden said which made me grit my teeth. “Maybe they know that we have plans to attack them,” Jackson said which made Kayden grit his teeth.
