Light explodes outward— consuming everything— the darkness— the void— me— everything. And the last thing I hear— before everything goes silent— is Leon screaming my name.

I screamed. It wasn’t just a scream—it was a roar of pain, of fury, of pure, unrelenting rage. The sound of my voice shook the very walls of the room, reverberating like a thunderclap, echoing through the darkness. It was a scream that carried every ounce of my pain, every ounce of my brokenness, and yet it wasn’t enough. The walls answered with nothing but cold silence, and my voice faded into the emptiness. My throat burned, raw and aching, and for a fleeting second, I felt as though I had cracked open some other realm, as though my agony had broken the barriers between this world and the next.

The further away I got, the louder it became and the singing turned into screaming into screeching. With my lungs heaving and sweat trickling from my forehead, I turned to try to see just what was following me. But that was a mistake. I lost my footing on something, maybe a stone or an exposed root, but I started tumbling. I waited for the blow of the ground, preparing myself for the pain and to get up again, but nothing came. It was like I was thrown into an endless void of darkness. Was I standing up? Was I upside down? Was I awake? Was I dead? The screeching got louder. “Elise!”

I wasn’t ever sure if I went too far or what. I’d only say that being a preacher suits him and he should change his profession. "JANE, I AM TELLING YOU ABOUT THE PHOTOSHOOT AND YOU’RE NOT EVEN INTERESTED! MAY I TELL YOU THAT THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE!" I put my hands on my ears when he started shouting. "I am not deaf, Roberto. You don’t need to shout, Oh God! I think you’ve damaged my eardrums because of that. Are you wearing a megaphone right now?" I said, scowling at him. I felt the car stop and I thought that it was because of the traffic light.

On this silent night, I can hear my silent cries the loudest. 🔸🔸🔸

I feels someone shaking me but my head is to clouded to even comprehend what's happening. I feel my eyelids getting heavy and I feel my self falling in an endless pit of darkness. I could hear him yelling and laughing at my helpless state but I'm too numb to even cry too tired to even shed a single tear. After a while I give in the darkness and welcome the darkness with open arms but even this numbness doesn't lessens the pain. ******************** ___________________________ "Dua!! Baby wakeup. The ride is not over yet. Where's the fun in you passing out" kashan said with a sinister smile on his face that I was able to catch with half open eyes.

Under the moonlight, by the still waters of pool, I say the words my mother never gets to hear again. “I love you, Mom.” And this time, I don’t whisper it to the wind...I scream it into the night. The words leave my throat and dissolve into the night, raw and shattered, like pieces of me breaking free and falling into the dark water. “I love you, Mom.” The echo dies quickly, swallowed by silence. Nothing answers. Not the wind. Not the water. Not the stars staring down at me without pity. Nico’s hand tightens over mine, grounding me, but the emptiness remains….wide, cruel, endless.

He expelled the cloth from his mouth and drew a deep breath, his chest heaving as he unleashed a series of urgent cries into the stillness of the room. "Hello! Can anybody hear me?" Damon's voice echoed, bouncing off the walls, his plea punctuated by a mixture of fear and hope.
