TRAPPED IN THE DARK CASTLE
I released him, and he crashed to the ground, coughing violently.
He stumbled to his feet and backed away, defeated for the second time.
But before he turned to run, he looked up at me with a twisted smile.
“This isn’t over,” he whispered. “You can protect her from me. But you can’t protect her from what comes next.”
“What comes next?” I asked coldly.
“You’ll see,” he said. “Pure blood attracts more than vampires.”
I stepped forward, ready to break him permanently.
Sean vanished in a blur before I reached him.
