Prisca's heart pounded in her chest as she stood before the doctor, feeling the weight of the revelation she was about to share. My hearts took the brunt of the pain, and I was sure beyond a shadow of doubt that my ribs were crushed and my heart was nothing but a pool of blood clots. The next minute, he was in pain so severe that he fell to the ground in agony. For a moment, it felt like an electric shock throughout his body, but then it turned into just flames. He felt like his entire body was on fire, not just the scars on his face. In the months he’s been experiencing this pain, it has never felt this bad before. He was glad Hannah wasn’t there to see his agony.

But the sensation lingered and she tried to process her emotions. Her heart had skipped a beat. And she didn't know why.

Something had changed in Sebastian since the incident, he knew he could pass the blame on to Machitis and try to have his conscious clear but deep inside he knew that both Sebastian and Machitis wanted to quench their thirst causee by Hannah and part of them wanted to break her and taint her character and shatter her pride. In the process something had changed him. He refused to see Hannah, he did not want to see the evidence of the physical harm he had caused her that night.

A life is at stake here! His words left me dumbfounded and hurting, like I had my heart gouged out too.
