Second First Impressions Novels & Stories

They say you never have a second chance at a first impression, and partly, that's true. I was still upset about our “introduction” this morning, but at the same time, I felt like it mattered a lot less now than it did before. First impressions don't change, but maybe they could be forgotten over time. With enough effort and understanding from both sides, maybe those bad impressions could be overwritten and new memories could take their place. Lucas smiled lightly. “Come let me show you the easy way.” She told Lucas, who followed her after throwing another glance at the man, with the thought that he looked a bit familiar. The girl pointed him to a receptionist at a desk close by. As Lucas walked towards the desk, he found himself contemplating the guy. Then, he suddenly pinched himself and cautioned, “Guy, this is your first day, avoid any distractions and focus. Remember, first impressions matter.” With that, he braced himself as he reached the receptionist.

“What’s so wrong with wanting more of a good thing?” Molly took a step back to look at him better. “Just doesn’t seem like you.” “How can you say it doesn’t seem like me when you don’t know me at all?” Nicholas asked while he lowered the ladder to the ground. “First impressions aren’t everything. Chapter 29: I knew I had fucked up. (Ava's POV) How do you make a terrible first impression on your first day at work? Well, let me demonstrate. Step one: Oversleep. Step two: Miss the bus. Step three: Show up thirty minutes late to your brand-new job. Perfect! I said underneath my breath. I wanted to disappear into the ground as I rushed into the building, my heels clicking against the polished floor. My heart was already racing, and the disapproving stares from a few passing employees didn’t help. But, of course, fate wasn’t done screwing me over yet.
