was activated, so I changed the direction of my vision and saw that John was staring at me, quickly focusing back on the wet runway. The radio program went into commercial and the news minute kicked off with information regarding the stock market, recent and important events somewhere in the world, and lastly on the death of the businessman I once heard with Sophie. "Still on the murder of Sandro Averbuck: There are a number of investigations going on and no leads are ruled out, other than police operations..." I noticed John's posture stiffen and he immediately turned off the device. I frowned minimally, and, a little skeptically, resumed my appreciation of the water load coming from the in

It wasn't anywhere near pleasant. "Yea. I know you've been asleep, but there's a war going on, sis. You should've known that even in your sleep with all the bombs & mines constantly going off." I shook my head in denial, "So let me process this again. You're saying there's a war going on and I've been asleep?" Her country accent was heavily introduced while speaking, "That's just about right. 'The Second Great Species War.' That's what everyone's calling it."

This us just a heart warming story and the characters are so easy to fall in love with. I love the child perspective... well more like the teen/adult perspective, makes Kenndi that much more of a interesting character!!! Keep up the good work! I'm definitely hooked and will follow all of ur work!!!

The book was great. However, I don't think the special should've been thrown in this book if this was regarding the war. I was hoping to find out what happened at Elias wedding with his mate coming back & will Kennedi, fall in with Val even though he's centuries old? that will be a good story

I bent down and looked at the books, trying to pick one to read for this period. I finally settled for " A chance at true love " and a smile tugged at my lips, I have been wanting to read this book since but haven't had the chance. I walked to the free roll where there wasn't any people before sitting down. I placed my earpiece in both if my ears before opening the book so I can start reading. You might find it weird but I can listen to music and at the same time read, well because it makes me feel like I'm in the book. " Betty "

Seven Magics Academy

"Who can tell me how the second World War started?" Over the next ninety minutes he talked about the war. Why it started. Which countries were involved. How many were killed. And so on. When class was nearly over, Mr. Henry passed out a paper. "This is your study guide for the test we'll be taking next week. Put it to good use people. I expect everyone to get an A, including you, Claude." The large guy in front of me snickered. "Will do, Mr. Henry." The bell rang.

Howls of war

Howls of war

Lyra was having a good time, although there weren't many women in the group, and that made many of the male rebels try to conquer Lyra. She simply rejected them politely and then continued to celebrate, which made her feel safe. In the midst of the celebration, in the forest, a rebel kept running, wanting to reach the base as quickly as possible. His abdominal pain made him think very bad things, so he needed help as soon as possible. He appeared in the middle of the celebration unexpectedly, claiming that the war had begun. Everyone was scared, but then they went to help him and ask him what had happened.

The Alpha King’s human breeder

The Alpha King’s human breeder

But on the lower shelf, pushed toward the back like something filed away rather than stored, I found it. No title on the spine. I pulled it free and opened the cover. “ A Complete Record of the Human Management System as Established by the Wolf Council in the Third Year Following the Great War’s Cessation,” I read out loud to myself. Great War. The same war, Mye had mentioned. I carried the book to the chair by the dead fireplace and sat down. The first section was bureaucratic—council minutes, resource allocations, the dry language of people building something terrible and calling it policy. I moved through it quickly, scanning for substance.

The Second Time

The Second Time

The woman in the red dress struggled to breathe and absorb what was going on about her. She sensed emotions of tragedy, anguish and desperation all around. Her head was heavy, she was breathless like something heavy had been pushed down on her, and her consciousness was fading. Focus, Focus! she told herself.

The Human Luna

*Sienna* I wave at Em as I walk into the library with Mei again. I see he has his phone glued to his ear but he gives me back a small wave and then continues on with his call. I sit next to Mei and look at what she is going to read next; 'History of World War 2' and I chuckle. "You are really going to read that?" She grins. "I finished World War 1 before I went to get the token for Xavy. I love huma… Ehm… history."

Frequently Asked Questions

World War II love stories hit differently—they’re raw, hopeful, and often bittersweet. One audiobook that wrecked me (in the best way) was 'The Nightingale' by Kristin Hannah. It follows two sisters in Nazi-occupied France, and the romance subplot with one of them and a downed Allied pilot is chef’s kiss. The tension between survival and love feels so real. Another gem is 'All the Light We Cannot See'—Anthony Doerr’s prose is like poetry, and the connection between Marie-Laure and Werner, though not a traditional romance, has this quiet, aching beauty.

For something grittier, try 'The Bronze Horseman' by Paullina Simons. It’s set during the Siege of Leningrad and has this epic, almost obsessive love story. The audiobook narrator nails the emotional intensity—I had to pause just to catch my breath sometimes. If you want lesser-known picks, 'The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society' has letters weaving a post-war romance that’s cozy yet profound. WWII love stories aren’t just about kisses; they’re about humanity clinging to light in the dark.
