They had activated a tracer and I knew it was going after my system at an incredible speed but I was just faster.

We will upgrade the system by the end of the day and add advanced motion triggers in the server room,” the head of IT replied.

“Because I’m about to lock every major asset my husband and I own under your company’s protection. Seven figures in liquid, another nine in property and holdings. That’s a lot of trust to place in a system that was breached—even for forty-seven seconds.” I meet her gaze, unflinching. “The breach was contained. No data was removed. It was a stunt at best. Just someone bored and trying to prove a point. They failed. Our firewalls have been tripled since that night to prevent such a thing. You won’t find a more secure vault in this hemisphere.”
