“Um, in her file, there was a keepsake from her mother. I used to look at it. It was a necklace. It had a purple stone in it. But it wasn’t a normal stone. It glowed. It never stopped glowing.”
“Glowed? Do you have the necklace?” I asked.
“No, but I had looked it up, and it was something called Purple Atlantis…I think.”
This got my attention. “Purple Atlantonite?”
“Yeah. Yeah…that’s it.” She has that necklace with her.
“You bought yourself some time,” I said. Then I looked at the guard. “Throw him in the basement and have someone come clean his mess.”
Conrad looks at me. “Please, my kids are home.”
