“The seelie and unseelie fae are different, as our magic isn’t tied to the physical world. It shapes itself to the personality of the fairy who possesses it. It means that our power can become anything, but it has limits. “It usually settles into one or two gifts by adulthood. The seelie fae take their power from light and the unseelie take it from the darkness. They are two halves of the same whole but neither one is good or evil, just opposing one another.” She spoke the words like I needed convincing, like I believed she was evil. “I managed to figure that out when the seelie fae trapped me in their realm and told me they were going to keep me prisoner for eternity.” I rolled my eyes.

Amber says, and my eyes widen. "She had pups there," I ask, and Amber nods. "I don't know if she started stealing them during the war or if it's something she is doing now as we speak, but they were excited about the war. They want humans to all die. The Goddess Selene cursed them to live separately to protect humans. If humans all die, they are free," she spills quickly, and my mind explodes with information. The fairies are cursed to live on the other side. They don't live there by choice as we thought.

Grinning slightly he nodded and side-eyed me. “It's a script I haven't seen in ages and it's called Seelie,” he said firmly. Creasing my brow I swallowed uncomfortably and mumbled, “Seelie? Like a fairy?” He turned to me and nodded. “But fairies aren't real Faro. It's got to be a cruel joke done to me,” I said sullenly. His eyes looked compassionately at me as he appeared to want to say something more but remained quiet. “Do you feel strange during the full moon? Like there is something inside wanting to tear out from inside?”

Still…it felt so real. “Okay, okay. Enough clowin’ around from my side. To answer your question; no, not all fairy and fae folk are from Ireland. I am what you would call a Seelie; my ancestors are of Scottish descent but as you can hear from my accent, we haven’t been back there for generations.” My eyebrows shoot up and I feel a burst of excitement at this new information. “A Seelie?”
