The guards are gawking at a she-dragon down the cavern, not paying attention to the prisoners. Turning her back to them, she shimmies through the cell bars and finds the two people she needs most: Luke and Morgan.

They moved around her — not attacking, but watching. Testing. “I’m not your enemy,” Selene said softly. “I’m his heir. The Luna of the New Dawn.”
