I stated finishing my coffee. “Who is you publisher?” he asked suddenly. “Aurelius Book Publishing, it isn't a big publishing house, but few of their books were on the bestsellers list already. It's challenging, but I would love to make it on such list as well, one day…” I sighed smiling. “I'm sure you will,” Kaisei grinned.

He asked, looking intently as I surfed through the What's Hot list. "No, these books are written by aspiring writers, a few good ones are published." I answered. "Oh so do you write and publish here?" My thumb froze on top of a book as I thought about the answer. "No." I lied. My self-consciousness made me shy from telling friends about it. Only Janice knew about my writing abilities and that I posted on the app. The worst part? She wasn't a huge fan of reading romance books unless they had some astrology in it. Talk about great support!

"Too smart to just pour coffee for the rest of your life. Do something with that brain of yours." Sam had agreed. He'd bought me a used laptop for my birthday—well, Elizabeth's birthday, the fake one on my fake ID—and told me to stop making excuses. "You love books," he'd said. "Why not try writing one?" So I did. And I'd discovered I was actually good at it. Good enough that I'd self-published my first romance novel six months ago under a pen name. It had sold better than I'd expected and it was enough to start a small savings account for the boys' future.

How did they have books unavailable anywhere but reading apps, and why didn’t her website mention their print availability? “Find a book that caught your eye?” Aidan asked. I felt his breath on my neck and knew he’d snuck up on me to lean over the back of the sofa. I ignored him and looked at the copyright area. And there it was in black and white: Published by Phantomedia. Oh, Byron and I will have words when I go home for winter break. Did his company only do a limited run on publishing the books? Are they only in very select markets? How connected to Well Thumbed is he? Does Shannon know? I saw some of her Dawn Phoenix books on the shelves, too.

And also, I need to focus on helping my mother be treated. I get my laptop and my paperwork in the living room, where I put them last night and place it on my table so that I start working while eating. These novels that we will publish are just pocket novels, and it's our first batch of releasing this project. We usually don't intend to publish these types of novels because they are short. Then, however, it became a trend.

I'd love your input and what your preference is. I have seen a couple of comments about whether or not my books are in paperback or available on A****n. Currently, I'm exclusively on GoodNovel, but I am going to see about getting the trilogy published. If that happens, I will let you know. And, I do plan to publish The Arena when it's done. Depending on how popular it is, I may publish all four books in that series as well. If you like my books, please leave me a review on the front page. That helps my ratings in the app and I need 25 for the star rating to actually be effective.

I look up at him, and for the first time since I have come here, I burst into laughter, surprising the Dragon King himself. For those who read The Rossi Legacies and like print books, I wanted to let everyone know I have a Kickstarter going for the first 2 books to be printed into physical hardbacks with spray edges and artwork endpapers. Phillip has been by our side through it all, his support unwavering. It’s a comfort to have him so close, not just for Abby, but for me too. Amidst this fragile peace, Phillip’s developed a new business—a venture he’s adamant about bootstrapping. Despite my offers to help finance this endeavor, he’s determined about his independence. He’s plunged headfirst into creating a series of eBooks and audiobooks, tapping into his wealth of knowledge. Watching him find his stride, seeing his first signs of success with sales—it’s infectious and heartening. I wish him all the best in building a financially stable future.

I think it’ll be really exciting to read, and I think you will really enjoy it. Last but not least, I will be publishing my stories for free in the future. I’ll be putting it up publicly on Royal Road, Scribblehub, T***s, Moonquill, and so on. I’ll probably still put it up here on GN, but it’ll be completely open and free.
