The walls, lined with bookshelves and surveillance monitors, cast eerie flickers of light against her sharp, composed features. Despite the chaos unraveling outside, she remained poised. Her eyes widened but she pasted on a smile. “This,” I said firmly, my tone clipped, “is our revitalizing serum. Made with stabilized vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and botanical extracts sourced from across the globe. Lightweight, long-lasting, and clinically tested. Unlike cheaper imitations, our formula is built to last.” The comments lit up, praise rolling in. Scarlett laughed, slipping her arm through mine. “See? My darling always explains it better than I do.” The questions came next… when are you getting married?

[Sera] I freeze behind the counter, my hand hovering over the espresso machine like it's suddenly forgotten how to function. But I force my voice to stay flat, professional. "I'm sorry, miss. Vega’s eyes widened, and she couldn’t help but lose her composure, "Wow, so handsome! You’re even more handsome than in high school!" Serena quickly nudged her with her elbow, signaling her to tone it down. She, however, sarcastically said, "Oh, Mr. Blaze, what brings you over here? Didn't you just have a good time drinking with a beautiful lady?"

She is holding a flute of champagne in her hands while looking at the lawn underneath which has bright red roses blooming near the perimeter. "Serene Rivera, you are something else" Serene heard Vivian's voice taunting from behind her. Vivian made it a point to stress the 'Rivera' name, as if to alienate Serene from the rest of them. But Serene smiled at Vivian's efforts. "Is it? I used to believe that I am just a normal human like the rest of you" she countered sarcastically. She didn't turn around to face Vivian though. Vivian huffed and stood beside Serene while facing the Rivera Princess.

And as of tonight—” I glanced at Dorian beside me, “—the fiancée of the Continental Alpha. I grinned at the look of horror on Eli and Mira’s face. The look of someone who had decided how this was going to go. The pale haired woman stopped ten feet from the bottom of the steps. "Victor Blackwood," she said warmly.
