"Apologies for not introducing myself earlier. I am Linda, the mayor doma of Casa Rios." "Mayor doma?" I slightly tilted my head in confusion. She nodded while preparing towels. "Yes, Madame Fallon. I am the head servant of the household, directly serving the Master and now, the Mistress, of the house." I nodded understandingly. I see. It must be a Spanish term, which is understandable since the Rios Clan is a clan from Spain. I'm still uncomfortable with the way she addresses me, especially earlier when she subtly addressed me as the mistress of the house. I thought they'd treat me poorly because I'm only a bought woman—then again, my worth is a million dollars.

“Are you here?” Mrs. Margarita Montero was sitting on a sofa in the drawing area of the office. She only stood up elegantly when she saw Diego walking towards her. The old lady wore a white branded dress that had a golden belt which she paired with black heels. She also had golden accessories, and her brown hair was also flailing. If Marissa did not know that she was the great Margarita Montero, she would have thought that the old lady was a former model or a celebrity that quit showbiz for a long time. Marissa closed the door as she watched the two hugging each other with motherly-son love. No matter how tempting to avoid her gaze, she did not and quietly strides her way inside.

I laughed nervously. A high, broken little sound. “Oh Christ.” The maid did not react. I rubbed sweaty palms over the thin gown. “Who… who is Donna Marazona?” There was a tiny pause. Then: “Your soon-to-be, perhaps, mother-in-law.” My heart stopped. Mother-in-law. I stared at her. She continued in the same respectful monotone that somehow made everything scarier. “The head of the Marazona family. The Matriarch of this estate. Mr. Vincenzo Marazona’s mother.”

"Ma'am is my mother." Senora smiled briefly before we got into our positions and started circling each other, both of us waiting for the other to make the first move. Her hesitation was out of respect, while my own was out of determination to make a change and have her prove a point. I glared at Senora, desperate for her to show me why she should be considered for one of my ranking officers, and as if she read my mind, she lifted her hands above her head and brought a wave of water down on me.

Yna slowed as she got nearer, thinking to help point them in the right direction, if they were. But she was sorry as soon as the windows on both the passenger seat and back seat slid down, as she instantly recognized the older woman sitting at the back. Even if she hadn’t seen the señora for a very long time, she recognized her right way. Even though she had cosmetic surgery done on her face, her features were still identifiable. It was Señora Lucilla, Eric’s mother and Don Sylverio’s ex-wife.

The lady gently squeezed my hand and then she smiled sweetly at me before she said the favor – "Selena I'm sure you're aware that I am your biological Mother and Joven is your biological Father. We understand that you are still adjusting to what is happening as well as the set up we have right now. However you calling us Señyora and Señyor really sounds weird." Señyora said to me hesitantly. "It's not that I oblige you but ... please understand -" And before Señyora could finish what she was going to say, I immediately cut her off.

She stopped just when her hand made contact with the door knob. “Alpha Isabel Martinez” she replied in a voice that wasn’t hers.

She asked her confusedly as her frown deepened. The woman gazed at her confusedly. You don't know? She asked wonder written on her face. Not wanting to waste more time, I stood up and walked closer to them. "Thank you madam for your help" we would take our Leave now" I said and she frowned. "She has amnesia and thus, can not remember anything except her name" I said wanting to clear her curiosity. Oh! She exclaimed and stared at Melissa pitifully. "My poor child" she exclaimed pulling her to a hug as tears trickled down her cheek.

"Yes ma, good day ma'am" I replied immediately "It's okay call me Mary, I'm in charge of the house runnings , I would introduce you to the other lady I work with , Joan" An elderly lady although younger than Mary came through the other door, "hi joan , nice to meet you " " The boss has been talking about you two since days now , I hope you would enjoy your stay here " she said smiling.
