I was only five; my tiny teeth and weak claws could not defend myself against something that was near eight feet tall, so I stayed on the outskirts of the Unit with Tin before returning to the safety of our burrow every night.

It worked on a few of the younger Toten, but not for Anders. The Schatten were able to pick off about ten of the Toten as they backed away from the castle heading towards the river. They took one into custody and placed him in a circle of containment, where he could not shift into his shadow form. The Toten didn't have real Schatten forms; their shadows were weaker and more visible to the human eye. The fighting continued for hours, as each side gained some ground. Daan cast that one of the security guards went down; lost his head. Literally!

With a loud laugh, Hugh stared at the ruins and urged the shadow behind him to chase after Philip as he flew out! Philip slashed out with his lightsaber and threw several punches at the shadow! However, that shadow seemed invincible and suffered no damage from Philip’s attacks at all! “Hugh is the main body. Shadows swirled around it, forming shapes that twisted and writhed like living nightmares. Something’s wrong.” The shadows around the core shifted, pulling together to form a familiar figure. The rogue wolf stood before them, its eyes burning with triumph.
