started to pull itself out of the earth. Back in the Archive, the shadow had a shape now. It was a wolf the size of a building, with eyes like dying stars. It didn't have fur: it was made of swirling smoke and corrupted silver. “Faith Nightshade,” the shadow whispered. The voice didn't come from a mouth; it came from inside Faith’s own head. “You have the Key. You have the scent of the man who put me in this cage.” “My father didn't cage you to be cruel,” Faith said, her voice trembling but brave. He caged you because you were destroying everything!

She's dangerous. "She's the one that's helping Josiah. He knows that I'm here." I say. "Tessa. You're the only one that can stop her." Angelo says. "I don't understand. I can't fight that." I say. "Yeah. You can. But not right now." He says throwing a bottle of something at the shadows. When it smashed on the ground it released a pink mist that made the shadows retreat. "What was that stuff?" I asked. "I have friends that are witch's too." He says.

But his voice wavers—just a little—and that’s what makes me take one step closer. Before I can respond, I feel the strength of the shadows encasing me. A sharp pain courses through my body, and for a moment, the darkness swallows me whole. But then, Shadow’s hands wrap around me—steady, relentless. His energy flows into mine, merging with it, and for an instant, all I feel is him. His love, his rage, his pain… everything. It’s as if our souls are intertwined so deeply we cannot live without each other. “I told you I didn’t care what happened,” Shadow replies, his eyes blazing with overwhelming intensity. “You won’t tear us apart. You can’t.”

We can see through the darkness luckily because so can Bane and his men apparently and they advance as soon as the fog covers the whole area. ‘Now Tristan.’ I mindlink our Beta, and he howls from somewhere to my left. Shadow rubs his head against Dawn, and she reciprocates his affection before the first rogue is over us. Shadow takes him down without a hitch, tearing his throat out. Another rogue comes at us and Dawn makes short progress, killing him as well, throwing his body into an advancing Bane.

“You’re drooling, Little River.” He teases lightly, and I flush. “Sorry” I murmur, but before he can say anything, something moves beside him and moves towards me as if coming in for a hug. I scream and jump back, only to take a close look… What in the Dr. Facilier shit, is this? Is that his shadow casually coming my way? “I-uh-I…” “Back.” He says, and the shadow seems to deflate sadly and then retreat into his actual shadow.

Her struggle is all in vain though, since she can’t even touch it. Clamping my teeth on a wider section of the shadow down near her leg, I rip at it with all my might. The shadow lets out a screech like rusted metal on metal, but the shred opens up a hole big enough for my paw. Good. I immediately reach into the shadow and begin to wedge myself between them. As if startled by my sudden change in tactic, the shadow jolts, then begins to backtrack toward me. Part of it wraps around my head and neck, and I twist my head to snap at the strange, rubbery feel of it.

Let alone in one piece. With a menacing growl, Shadow sprinted towards the roadside and leaped onto the grassy verge before disappearing into the thick forest. I knew the time would come when I’d have to overpower him, and I knew it wouldn’t be easily done. But I couldn’t sit back and watch as he snuffed out the life of the woman I loved. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.

In silence, the two locked eyes. Suddenly Pauline let out a chilling laugh. As she turned back, a syringe needle appeared in her hand. “Don’t blame me! Since you know my secret and refuse to side with me, then you all must die!” she growled. “You don’t love me anymore! You’ve fallen for Mariah, haven’t you? If that’s the case, I’ll send you to meet her like the pair of doomed lovers you are!” Her eyes glowed with madness as she lunged forward, grabbed the needle, and pierced Chandler with it.

What's more, I'm willing, so I decide that it's best for me to do my best now that I have the opportunity still presented to me before it leaves out of the blue. I smile to myself as I answer his questions and contribute as much as I can with all my efforts. The guys from the Shadowfang might not be our best allies, but they seem to be doing their best. However, I feel extremely annoyed as I listen to what they have to say and realize that most of it is just trying to counter me, like they had some kind of grudge against me or something. I frowned thinking about it, but I didn't say anything else.

I can feel her possessiveness coming from her, she will kill anyone who goes near him. Shadow seems to like her ways, he licks her face before playfully nipping at her neck. I try to run from him, clearly wanting him to chase me but the only way to describe it is I became like Bambi on ice. I hear Angelo laughing in my head ‘easy baby, you have only just shifted for the first time. I huff, both my wolf and I. Shadow nips my ear making Eclipse snap at him.
