Marcus did not watch his strength when he slapped Sienna. She fell straight to the ground. She looked up at him in disbelief with tears streaming down her face. "Marcus, how could you do this to me?" I was just glad I didn’t have the power to shoot arrows at people using my eyes because if I had, I would have hit my target with blazing arrows. I glared at them with hatred as they kissed. Mirela, not minding Amber and Janice, arched her body to him. ‘Is she a good kisser, Ethan?’ I hissed, my eyes squinting as I watched her devouring his lips.

It was far less scary than the pictures in her head. "Yes, a pinprick," William confirmed. "If it makes you feel better, you can even pick the finger." She looked at him, trying to decide if he was making fun of her or not. She decided he was, and fought the urge to give him the finger. Now she felt really stupid. "Why are you so determined to get my blood all of the sudden?" she asked Paoli, ignoring William. "That's a fair question," Paoli agreed. "Mary pointed out it isn't possible for a human to be mated to a wolf," he said.

His eyes told me everything. I would regret it. Deeply. Forever. The chandelier light caught the edge of his jaw, gilding his face in cruel perfection.
