Shadow Hunter

Shadow Hunter

“Did the Shade escape?" Man made light couldn’t kill a shade, not like the UV rays of the sun, but it still produced an impenetrable barrier, so fending them off was as simple as keeping your lights turned on and avoiding dark corners. But a Shadow Man, someone who’d been taken by a shade? Sure, you could kill their human host as easily as the next human but that just forced the unharmed shade out of its dead flesh and into the next closes body. Yours. If you were lucky enough to to be too far away or surrounded by light the shade would disappear into the shadows, lurking there until the next poor soul ventured within reach. It was a pathetic and undeniable craven existence but it was how th

Shadows of Solitude

Shadows of Solitude

The morning light filtered weakly through the curtains, casting fractured patterns on the floor — much like my thoughts, splintered and jagged. I sat at the small kitchen table, clutching my cup of cold coffee, staring at the leather-bound book *Reflections of the Forgotten* open before me. The stories inside weren’t just tales — they were warnings, lessons written in sorrow and hope. Women who had lived as shadows, trapped in lives borrowed from others, fighting to reclaim their own reflections.

Zarah and The Seven Apocalyptic Princes

Zarah and The Seven Apocalyptic Princes

Could my meddling have something to do with this demon’s early appearance? I stick in the shadows while covering myself with my black hood and keeping my sword hidden at my side. Shadow Step allows you to travel and stay in the shadows, but it only gives you that sort of privilege once you get adept at it. Travel is pretty easy, so long as there’s always a connecting shadow.

Demon: Supernatural Bad Boys V

Demon: Supernatural Bad Boys V

But when I open them again and look towards where he is, I still see black leather wings and crimson eyes. His fighting is even more impressive than what I’ve seen in Sahara’s gladiator ring. When the shadow aims some kind of power, he flies back, flips, and lunges at what I assume is its head. He flaps his wings, pushing the shadow back and aims his sword over it, cutting through it. He twirls again and piercing the center of the shadow over and over again until the shadow fractures and shatters into a million pieces. As soon as that happens, the fog fades, and the dark monster disappears, leaving the shadows of the true darkness behind.

POWERS OF THE MOON BEARER

POWERS OF THE MOON BEARER

"No more games. What are those things?" Corvin smiled, unaffected by the ruckus around them. "The Shadows of the Depths. They are attracted to hesitation. You give them your doubt, and they will eat you up alive." “Great,” Jax mumbled, sounding pretty bitter. “You couldn’t have said that before?” “I thought it was obvious,” Corvin said with a shrug. One of the shadowy forms lunged forward. Kade rounded on it, his weapon sweeping high and hard through the dark. The creature died, but another stepped in behind almost instantly.

Retribution of the Roar

Retribution of the Roar

“The Shore is what we want. I believe you already have an idea. The Shore has been our protector ever since the beginning of time. It rejuvenates the Earth after a storm. It doesn’t dissolve them, it simply absorbs them away from Earth. The Shore has a thousand doors but they are divided mainly into two worlds: the yin and yang. The black side is where we want to store every little thing that Hearth created–the ones that went out of control.” “The mistakes,” Leison corrected. “The Shadows.” “The unfinished masterpieces,” Grey insisted. “The Shadows cannot be undone. They were created in a way that is too complicated to be unraveled. No matter how much you kill, as long as there is a source o

The Art Of Dying

The Art Of Dying

"Shadow fiends don't get tired. They don't get bored. They just hunt until they catch you or something stronger scares them away." "Great," Brady muttered. "So we're trapped in a creepy cabin with monsters outside. This is fine. Everything's fine." "Shut up, Brady," Walter snapped. He was pacing near the window, watching the shadows move. "We need a plan." "The plan is simple," Willow said. She was sharpening a blade she'd pulled from somewhere. "We wait until dawn. Shadow fiends can't survive direct sunlight." "There's no sun here," Bree pointed out. "We're in a valley that exists in some nightmare dimension. How do we know there's even a dawn?"
