Ashton shook his hand reluctantly, eyeing the male carefully. "Damien and you are?" The Demon's voice as sultry as before. The angel breathed deeply before answering. "Ashton. I'm aware you're here to negotiate the new treaty?" A deep chuckle escaped the other male's lips. "Oh right to business and no fun I see? What a shame. Such a waste." His words causing a light blush to form on Ashton's otherwise ivory skin.

"Listen up. All of you, pay attention. Today you will put you blindfolds on. As a hunter you must be able to fight without depending on your sight but other senses." I demonstrated by walking toward the bear shifter, his aura is thick which means his bulky of big. "Common big guy bring it." "I can't fight a woman." I faced the audience and turned my back on the guy and he seems to relax his defense. "Shifters can shapeshift, demons can lurk in the dark, vampires can manipulate, fae can put on a glammor spell and a woman can be Jezebel."

"Human... how are you..." Lucien Desrosiers, the Demon King of the dark court, took one stunned step back. The noise behind him died at once. The hall was packed with elders, guards, and newly chosen sacrificial consorts, yet everyone seemed to forget how to breathe. Someone whispered, "She is not afraid of him? The Demon King's whole body carries the lust-curse. Any woman who gets too close starts collapsing within three seconds. Why is she fine?"

When people used to think of shifters they would assume it was a human-wolf hybrid that could change with the full moon. But the humans were very wrong. Shifters are always born human and between their fifteenth and sixteenth birthday, their body would change and transform into their true race. While there are werewolves, shifters could also be many other things. Vampires, werewolves, and witches were by far the most common, while sirens, fairies, and the dreaded angels of the night were more uncommon among the shifting race. The most rare was called the arch angels.
