Shit! When I looked up, his eyes were trained on me. Without saying anything about the tie, for which I was grateful, he held up his hand for me. I thought he was helping me up, but when I started to get up, he shook his head, “No, Rose, give me your hand.” I swallowed hard, unsure, as I placed my hand on his. He took it and brought it to the buckle of his belt. “Open it.”

Before he could figure out what was going on, a strong kick landed on his body and he went flying backward. Rose's consciousness continued to wane due to the effects of the drug. Entering the bathroom, Jonathan saw the woman trembling while she curled up in a corner. His heart ached at the sight. He walked over to her. Sensing that someone was approaching her, Rose gripped a shard of broken glass in her hand. "Don't come any closer!" Her voice was shaking. She sounded like an injured animal that was still stubbornly fighting back. "It's okay. It's me," Jonathan comforted her in a gentle voice.

Rose said, slapping my hand, “Just fucking leave!” She looked at me with hate, but I wasn’t taking it. Grabbing her from the waist, I pull her towards me. Our bodies touch, sparks flying. "N-No, h-he will k-kill y-" My grip on the glass tightened as I saw Rose talking with a guard. But I lost my mind when I saw him touching her shoulders. "Don't worry Ma'am, you need to drink water. Your face had turned pale. You'll faint. Please drink it" He spoke gently while staring at her softly. Rose also nodded while smiling at him and took the glass from his hands. Her hands were shaking so he held her hands and helped her drink it. That's it.... The glass got broken because of my death grip. It's pieces pierced into my skin turning my hand bloody. But it didn't had any effect on me as I was more furious to see her smiling at him while he smiled at her back.

My heart skips a beat at the sight I see; Rose sitting onto the ground as she cries out while her right hand is currently holding onto a knife—signalling her left wrist, leaving me frozen at my spot. I can't help but continue to look at her from behind, remembering that I've once see her this way before and it wasn't pleasant but the last time I saw her, she already did. ''Rose.'' I call out softly, afraid if I might startle her.
