The room stayed quiet for a while after I agreed. I looked down at my wristwatch—10:04 a.m. The day was still young. I looked back at her. “The day just started. Do you think it’ll be better if it’s today?” “Yes. Today is fine.” I nodded once, then studied her quietly. She was wearing a plain brown top tucked into dark jeans, her hair tied back loosely. No makeup, no jewelry. “Are you comfortable going out this way?” I asked. “Or do you want to change?”

CROW POV (R rated) She looks stunning today. If I hadn't already decided to compete, seeing her this morning would have been the nail in the coffin. Her blonde hair is down for the first time in two days, and it is beautiful. Natural blonde with soft waves......She is also dressed differently.
