She quickly shook her head. “Really?” My gaze remained fixed on her. I had asked if there was a problem, and she claimed there wasn’t, yet she kept staring at me with a curious expression. I decided to ignore her and focused on my meal. But when I finally finished eating and looked at her again, I caught the same curious gaze. This time, I wasn’t surprised. “So, tell me, what is it you want to ask?” I cleared my throat. Her constant staring could only mean she had something to say. Otherwise, I couldn’t think of any other reason.

I immediately focus my eyes back on her face and noticed that she just caught me staring at her. She arches an eyebrow, her voice laced with surprise and a little bit of amusement “Seven? What are you doing here? In my room?” I managed to control my brain to actually respond to her as I shake my head frantically, “Umm, actually, I…wan…wanted to see you, to know how you’re doing” I stuttered, even though I didn’t know why. She cocked her head to a side as she continued to stare at me, making me swallow visibly.

Once she was done with the call, she looked at me from the mirror above my head. "Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked as I swerved into another turning that led to the boulevard close to Scarlett's company. "I don't know," She said with a shrug. I didn't miss the lightness in her voice. It made me quite curious and I wondered what made her so happy. "I just want to stare at you. Is it a crime?" I shrugged. "Depends on why you are staring. If it's because you want my head on a plate, then I should be fucking scared. But if it's otherwise, then I am really curious."

Instead of going to take a shower like I initially planned to, I sat down beside her, making sure we were in close proximity, and stared at the TV as well. She tried inching away from me but there wasn’t anywhere to go. Her frustration was obvious on her face and I couldn’t help but watch her. “Why are you staring at me?” She asked without looking back at me as though she was scared to maintain eye contact. “Because I want to.” She laughed nervously but didn’t dare turn her head. She focused on the movie for a long time and I could tell when she finally relaxed her muscles and forgot about me beside her. It didn’t take too long after that before her eyes started closing.

Still, I watched her because I couldn’t stop. And I noticed how nervous she suddenly looks under my stare, how she avoids my eyes when she stares right back at me to check if I was still looking right at her.. I watch her subtly rush through her dinner as if finishing dinner could delay the moment everything finally unraveled. Then finally she dropped her cutlery taking a napkin to dab at each side of her lips as she finally meets my stare.. Holding my stare finally with no flickering or avoidance which is new..

What does she mean by that? "I'm sorry once again for bashing into you like that," She quickly bows and apologizes to me before she turns and scurries away. I stare at her until she's out of my sight. My eyes aren't deceiving me, she's really the one. Her innocent eyes are what I can never forget, and her beautiful face is what can never leave my head, so why is she pretending not to know me? "I don't like it when someone stares at my woman like that. It's annoying," Alpha Kai's voice pulls me out of my train of thought, and my eyes slowly narrow as I stare at him in shock.

"like obviously? Yet she stared at me so dramatically with heart-shaped eyes. I swear I saw her drooling over me while looking at me with her intense stares it's like she's eating me alive, and so what I did? I literally run away from that thick faced woman because of her caked makeup before she could lay a hand on me. It makes me feel so, sooo objectionable!

The motion is quick. Efficient. Necessary. I toss the shirt aside. Done. Silence again. Then— I feel it. Her gaze. I look up. She’s staring. Not at my face. Lower. Her eyes drag slowly across my torso before she catches herself. Too late. A faint color creeps into her cheeks. I almost smile. “Done staring?” Her gaze snaps up. “I wasn’t—” “You were.” “I wasn’t.” “Then what were you doing?” She opens her mouth.

She just… stares. Not normal staring. Not casual….No. This is full-on, unfiltered, focused staring. Her eyes move slowly, deliberately….from my face… down to my chest… lingering there… then lower… before dragging back up again. And then, her lips part slightly. “Wow.” Then she smiles. That smile. That dangerous, knowing smile. Uh oh. That’s not good. That’s very not good. I step out fully, gripping the towel tighter around my waist like my life depends on it.

Still, I could feel her eyes on me, tracing my every move. I stopped in front of the mirror, adjusting my hair, pretending not to notice. But I did. I could feel her stare, sharp and judgmental. “Do you have something to say?” I asked, my voice low. She immediately looked away. “No… nothing,” she mumbled, avoiding my gaze. “Then stop staring. It’s weird,” I growled, my patience thinning. I waited a few tense moments until I was sure she wasn’t looking.
