She asked, shocked. I rolled my eyes again and she laughed. My heart swelled with joy at the way she laughed uncontrollably and all I wanted to do was pull her into my arms and never let anyone see her laugh like this. She stopped laughing as she noticed the way I was staring at her. “Why are you staring at me like me that?” She asked. “Like how?” I continued staring at her. “Like that.” She replied. Something shifted in the air and we continued staring at each other, no one making a move or saying a word, and even though I wanted to take my eyes off her, I could not help it.

' Look. I think she is just saying all these on purpose just to mess with me. I squint my eyes at her staring fixedly at her. "Don't bite me. I'm coming" She raises her hand in mock surrender pushing herself up from her seat. "Are we going?" She asks when I still don't stand up. "Keep staring at me that way and your eyes might just close up forever" She says and I relax my face. "That's not going to happen dum dum" I laugh standing up and linking my arm through hers.

I asked, pretending I didn’t know what she was talking about “Because I can feel your stare" she said, finally lifting her head up. “Well, I wasn't staring at you, so how did you feel my stare, except you want me to stare at you” I said, briefly taking my eyes off the road as I winked at her while Zion giggled "What, no” she said suddenly She turned to look at Zion, and he stopped giggling, she then turned her attention to me “Keep your eyes on the road” she told me as she went back to scrolling through her phone

I heaved a sigh after I was done. I don’t even know how to confront her. I turned towards the toilet door and she stood staring at me with that suspicious eyes oh hers. She fixed her gaze at me. I stared down shyly. “Come closer,” She said to me and I shivered. Oh my God! I nodded biting my lower lip and began walking towards her. I stopped when I got to her front and she held my hands. “Look at me,” She ordered and I raised my head up. She stared deeply into my eyes and shook her head.

She knows me better than I know myself. Outside, the rain kept falling. And the car is moving at the utmost speed. I was staring continuously at her. Trying to figure out how she could pull over after one call from me. I really underestimate her instincts. I look away briefly. Trying to make her feel more comfortable. Although it was obvious I was staring, in reality, I knew she was examining me more than I was examining her. “You’re staring,” she said without looking up. “You just ambushed me on a highway,” I replied. “Forgive me if I’m trying to understand why I’m alive.”

I leaned back against the tree I was standing next to and kept tapping the screen, but I felt her eyes on me again. She peeked. I waited until I was sure she was lost staring at me and then I turned, and caught her. She quickly looked away. I smiled, the act giving me joy. “You’re bad at hiding,” I said softly. “I’m not looking,” she answered quickly. “I am not looking at you." She hissed, glaring at me. “Of course you are staring at me. You just did.” I could not help but burst out laughing. “No, I didn’t. What makes you think I will stare at you? You're not even that handsome.” She scoffed and made a disgusting face.

I paused, waiting for him to jump in, to explain it away, But he just sat there for a long beat, eyes fixed on my half empty glass. Finally he looked up, meeting my gaze. “So what happens if she stares…?” he asked quietly, almost like he was testing the question out loud. Then he added, softer, “…will it change anything?” His hand found mine under the table again, fingers wrapping around it with more force this time, squeezing like he needed the contact as much as I did. I frowned, brows pulling together tight. The irritation I’d been trying to swallow bubbled right back up. “You enjoy the stares?” I asked .

"I can't love you" "I'm photophobic" she added softly as she stared into his glimmering blue eyes. "So you have nothing to worry about...I won't force you to give me attention either or try to make you love me" She looked at him to see if she could read his reactions but his face remained the same, his eyes as empty as ever. "That's okay right?" He nodded. She sighed in relief. After a while, she stood up and left him without saying a word to him, besides there was no need for interaction between both of them since there was no sign of affection from either of them and there was no hope of any.

Her eyes narrowed immediately. "Sounds like you're trying to change the conversation." "No, I'm simply asking what you're doing here. Is that a crime too?" She continued staring at me. The kind of stare that made it feel like she was trying to peel my skull open and read my thoughts. "You can be suspicious all you want," I said, crossing my arms, "but you'll never see the day something happens between me and Kian." She didn't say anything. Just kept looking at me.

I thought she was just hungry, so I focused on my food. After a while, I looked up, only to see her holding herself back. I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't staring, but it looked as though she was physically restraining herself from eating. She suddenly looked up and caught me staring. I held her gaze for a while, and then she looked away.
