Zavian I was very interested in the reason why they needed me to lug this heavy fucking book. I hadn’t touched this book in years. I haven’t needed to. I personally didn’t know any of the Meridian. So, needless to say, when Emerald asked me if I have a book with all their symbols within it piqued my interest. I could see why Emerald would be interested in it, but when she said that Devon and Nate asked her to ask me about the book, I found that weird. The fact that no one outside the magic community had even heard, so when she said that, I was intrigued.

I wrapped my free hand in the satin fabric of the dress, trying my best to control my anxiety as Alpha Kaia opened the book that lay before her on the altar. It was the Book of the Moon, the sacred writings that the Goddess had left for us. I had never seen it with my own eyes and, Holy Moon, just thinking that the Alpha herself was about to perform that ceremony made me tremble.

I didn't want to go all out with the decorations, but I couldn't help myself. I heard the door ring as soon as I lit the last candle. I quickly rushed towards the door, undone my braids, played with them through my fingers, and felt some damp areas. I opened the door, and I sucked in my breath. Liam stood there looking like fucking Robert Sheehan - he's from Mortal Engine and that new show on N*****x. He looks like him but with muscle and more handsome. I became a fan of Robert Sheehan when I watched Mortal Engine on bootleg. Super cute.

"They have, ever since she was born." Cassandra set the little serpent among the piles of gold coins. The creature sagged in defeat and exhaustion after lying before that terrible fire. "There it is," Vasilisa's voice came from behind a mountain of walnut-sized raw rubies. It wasn't hard to find the book. It was placed on a golden stand in between two golden Sirin statues. The grimoire turned out to be the largest book Cassandra had ever seen, with pages made of parchment illuminated with tracery, and it was open to a page thickly covered with elegant, intricate writing.

They will help you understand more of how to use your magic.” I looked at the titles of the books curiously. ‘Under a Full Moon’, ‘Selene the Blessed’, ‘To Ride A Wild Hunt’, and one enigmatic tome titled ‘Panacea Obscura”.
