Shadows of the Past

Shadows of the Past

The night they cynically came to the hospital she seemed rough and soulless but now she seemed like such a gentle and innocent woman. Perhaps God had put her in my path to convince me that this revenge was hurting me. Maybe she was more soulful than I thought and I was really wrong then. There was something else that caught my attention and that was those lyrics. They were so sad. They expressed a deep, deep pain. But who could hurt such a soul so deeply? The lines of the poem she wrote kept echoing in my mind: “With feet lost in the fine sand I’m heading for the shore, shy and tentative

Jericho

Jericho

ODETTE I placed a daisy on Slash's grave and used the back of my hand to dry the wet which had collected beneath my eyes. Jericho had buried him at home in the garden. A massive rock served as a headstone with Slash's name engraved. Each day without Slash felt incomplete. When he died, he left a gaping hole in our hearts. I knew Jericho took it badly. He would wake up in the mornings, forgetting Slash was no longer around, and call out for him. Sometimes I would catch him retrieving Slash's leash to take him out for a walk only to realize he could no longer do that. The look of anguish which hijacked his face each time made the whole situation so much worse. I hated seeing Jericho in so much

Could you please advise when this is to be completed? It’s been awhile since late update & I truly want to finish the trilogy. I loved Gunnar & Ace, it just isn’t right because I am unable to read all of Jericho! Please advise author, you are to good of a storyteller not to finish what is started.

After reading her book of Victor I understand her reason for delaying. However; Aurtor please post an update on this book as well. I'm feeling the same as everyone else when it comes to this book. I've left it in my library for a good while waiting. I'm sorry but it has left me not wanting to read

The Silver Tongue is one of the most popular clubs in Goldstone. The long queue to get into the bar every night was a view that some tourists would capture through their cameras, just to stand and took pictures of themselves in front of the club was a good enough experience for them. A huge silver neon tongue on top of the building can be seen from miles away. It is the center of the nightlife in Goldstone, and Goldstone is a city that never sleeps.

And she no longer hated herself for hoping for the latter. “Thank you for your time.” Christian reached for the camera. In a second, the red light dimmed to nothing. And in its absence, she didn’t feel the shame she thought would have been half-hidden by the rush of it all.

Shhh...They Will Hear Us

Shhh...They Will Hear Us

Standing in front of her, Sandy began to unbutton her shirt slowly, speaking as her fingers fumbled with the buttons. "I guess this can be a real test of how loyal and faithful he really is. I mean, after all, with you sitting right here, he ought to be able to control his desires, isn't that right?" The brown haired woman stared at her with a pleading expression on her face and then shook her head emphatically. Sandy ignored the supplication and the negative shaking as she continued unbuttoning her shirt and speaking. "As a matter of fact, I doubt you could control your own impulses and desires right now; just look at the state of you!"

THE SOVEREIGN SHIELD

THE SOVEREIGN SHIELD

Elena's POV The rain in Red Hook wasn’t a cleansing thing; it was a rhythmic, heavy pounding that turned the sawdust on the floor of the woodshop into a thick, smelling paste. I stood in the side entrance, my silk coat drenched, my breath hitching as I saw the flickering light of a work lamp coming from the back office. My heart hammered against the "Sovereign Shield" signet ring I now wore. I knew why Silas was here. He wasn't a man who surrendered. If he couldn't have the Tower through the front door, he would find the cellar and blow the foundations.

CHASING MONSTERS

CHASING MONSTERS

Her voice was low, steady, steel. “You don’t get to break me,” she said. “You don’t get to call me traitor when all you ever were was a coward. You killed the only good thing in your life because you couldn’t stand not owning it.” His laughter cracked into silence. His eyes gleamed, wild but sharp. “You’re just like her.” “Maybe,” Shiloh said. “But I’m stronger. And I won’t let you haunt me anymore.” He leaned in closer, his breath hot and sour. “You can’t escape me. You carry me in your blood. The shadows whisper to me at night—they tell me so. You’ll never be free.”

HOSTAGE

HOSTAGE

Shiloh's POV I'm very tired and exhausted. Seems that all my energy was drained. Not from the traveling but from controlling myself from anger. The moment I entered the room, I closed the door and let go of the cry that I was holding downstairs, in front of Mr. Heartless. I covered my mouth with the pillow I saw on the bed so he could not hear my sob. I don't know how long I have been crying. But when I finally calmed down, I opened my suitcase and took a set of clean clothes, my undergarments, and my toiletries. I put down my clothes on the bed and went into the bathroom.
