The Shaman sighed and picked up the journal, and began reading the markings aloud: "Shadowed glory and treacherous knives destroy all who seek it. What is wronged will be made right. Her voice will shine again when the gem is in hand." He closed the book and set it down on the table, looking expectantly at the three pairs of eyes who stared back at him.

We leave and this time she takes some gems off the wall, mostly the duly ones. She grabs the orange gems then the pale white along with black ones. If I’m not mistaken, the orange gems are used for transferring protection power from the owner and the protected; the pale white and black I have no idea. Once out of the cave, I take notice of the saltwater which reminds me how I’ve never been to a beach before.

It did look impressive, especially the way that it was glowing now in the darkness of the forest. All of the gems were lit up, and the ruby in the middle was so beautiful as it sparkled there in the dim light.

The physical manifestation may appear white with markings, but her soul energy is pure silver."

This crystal seemed crucial to its survival and its connection to the cave. It was a large, pulsating gem with a vibrant color—perhaps a deep orange or yellow, like the sun. It glowed with the same eerie light as Stalagtor’s eyes and was clearly integral to its life force. I extended my hand, trying to touch the crystal when I heard its roar again. I jumped back as another round of explosions sounded. Clutching at my chest, I felt an intense throbbing. A bright light illuminated the cavern, making me blink furiously. My eyes watered from the glare, and I shut them again.

It almost felt like they were singing a song, a song that aligned with her soul and put her very being into an undefinable ease. The gem started turning red, like fire was burning in it, but it didn't feel like that against her palm that was pressed against it. Infact, it didn't even feel hot at all, yet the gem started cracking from the heat, white smoke emerging slowly from the gem. Just as sudden as that had happened, the fire died, the cracks sealed right back together and the gem became an electrifying shade of blue once again, with the specks of white and red falling in it like snow.

“I want to give you this...as a friend and ally.” Lucifer and Julius look at the bag curiously as I hold it out for Julius to take. He furrows his brows as I drop the bag in his hand, rubbing his thumb over the contents of the bag before opening it. I hold back a smile as his eyebrows shoot up in shock. “Is this what I think it is?” I smirk. “Well, this isn’t me proposing to you so...” Julius pulls out a ring with a square black gemstone. His eyes meet mine. “A Daylight ring? But how?”
