When The Moon Hides Her Crown
A collective breath of astonishment swept through the cavern.
“Wow…” the word slipped from countless lips, hushed with reverence.
At the center of the high stone ceiling gleamed a single gem, no larger than a man’s palm, yet powerful enough to bathe the chamber in silver-white light. Its glow shimmered like liquid moonlight, flawless, and otherworldly.
My lips parted, my voice breaking out in a whisper I couldn’t contain. “So this…is the Moonstone.”
Until suddenly a sharp pain ran in my head and I closed my eyes tightly. The flashes and memory of those rules and strange rogues flashed in my mind, shaking me to the core.
