My lips parted, my voice breaking out in a whisper I couldn’t contain. “So this…is the Moonstone.” Until suddenly a sharp pain ran in my head and I closed my eyes tightly. The flashes and memory of those rules and strange rogues flashed in my mind, shaking me to the core.

"Those people will kill you without feeling remorse if they find out you're here. Swear it. Upon the Moon Goddess." I groaned. "I swear it upon the Moon Goddess that I won't leave this spot. Satisfied now?" He stared at me for long moments, his beautiful blue eyes locked into mine, and then he nodded with satisfaction. "Alright. Wait here." I waited until he was safely in the forest, then turned the opposite way he'd gone. I broke my promise and left the spot I was crouching, then slowly began to circle the perimeter of the forest, towards where the murderers stood on the edge of the garden.

He opened his eyes and began cutting the surface of the stone smoothly. It was not long before he was able to cut out the fire gem. He placed it in a basin and used water to clean the dust off it. He placed it under the sun to have a good look. The fire gem sparkled under the sunlight. It shone through the gem, and he could hardly open his eyes from the bright light. Waylan exclaimed at the reveal of the gem, and everyone on the street could not stop staring at the shining fire gem. It was gorgeous. They wondered how many people had ended up bankrupt on this street just to have a gamble to become rich overnight.
