The Merman, My Man

The Merman, My Man

“You mean the dream you had while you were lying on that deck? Could it be that sexy merman again?” The others roared in laughter even as I sighed. I couldn’t make them believe what happened to me, or to give up on riches that were within reach. Even as I considered my next step, our ship was slowing down and I could hear the beeping notifications from the navigational system. The silhouette of the towering channel was definitely visible now, and I narrowed my eyes to use my mermaid night-vision, piercing layers of darkness to see a fairly big boat berthed to at the left entrance of the channel. It was rocked gently by the waves, hitting the cliff walls from time to time, obviously abandoned

I don't think I was prepared for what I clicked on, but the concept and execution of the the story, white possibly triggering for some, the story actually has great promise! I want to know more about what the old lady said in the dream as well as what happens to Linda.

Lust of a Dragon

Lust of a Dragon

Seedlings gave us hope for a future at safehold. My mother stood beside me, excited almost. As if she couldn't wait to pay an old friend a visit. Some crew members stayed behind to help rebuild homes, while some would depart permanently at Rapier Port. Bittersweet, but I understood. I didn't know if Charles would be in Rapier Port, but as we pulled beside the pier, I saw a sparkling and brand new ship with the flag of a heart outlined in a ribcage. The Bone Heart. As I said, predictable.

Reborn As A Wolf

Reborn As A Wolf

Rowan By the time I finished the seventh stick of my cigarettes, the massive cargo let out a deafening blast of ship horns as the mooring lines were being cast off. The horns continue to echo off the coastal cliffs, followed by the steady vibrating purr of the ship engine and heavy plumes of black smoke curling into the sky. Soon, the ship begins gliding toward the sea, parting the glassy harbor waters to its destination. I pulled out my phone as I typed a text to my father, [Shipment 1094-K1999, has left the port successfully.]

The Billionaire's Hidden Baby

The Billionaire's Hidden Baby

"The engineers who built my father's invisible digital scaffolding are officially blind. Victor! Confirm the status of the vessel." "The Apapa Star is holding her position, boss," Victor called out from the auxiliary terminal, his fingers flying across his keyboard as he monitored the maritime navigation tracking. "The automated navigation script didn't trigger the self-destruct. The master override block caught the smart contract before the local servers could wipe the data payload. The ship is still steaming toward our private Brooklyn pier but we have a live anomaly on the console."

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The Deep Margin Current I stood at the helm of the blue ship as the anchor cleared the black fluid with a heavy, dripping clank. We didn't use a compass. The standard iron compass Xander had taken from the Spire’s observatory was useless here; its needle simply spun in circles, driven mad by the lack of a geographic grid. Instead, we followed the white line of the origami fleet. The thousands of tiny paper boats moved in a tight, dense column, their sails glowing with the faint emerald pulse of the willow leaf, cutting a clean, white path through the velvet black mist of the outer basin.

Billionaire Ex-Wife Comes Back

Billionaire Ex-Wife Comes Back

Now she was no sail man or sea expert, but from the basic head-of-the-house education she had received, she was damn sure that this yacht wasn’t sailing in the right 'safe' direction. “Mr. Albrecht?” She called out and took a step towards the navigation system. As she got closer her thoughts slowly formed into reality. “Where exactly is this damned ship sailing off to?” She asked and increased her pace towards the navigation system. She gripped onto it and her eyes fluttered. The ship was sailing north and in the wrong direction of north.

The Billionaire’s Secret Baby: With His Ex-Wife

“Please don’t tell me that’s another carrier.” Victor shook his head. “It’s bigger.” Emma blinked. “Bigger than the Leviathan?” Sophia’s expression became serious. “Yes.” Lewis looked at the radar carefully. “What kind of ship is that?” Victor scanned the signal. But the system could not identify it. Daniel sighed. “That’s never a good sign.” Emma whispered, “It’s still very far away.” Sophia nodded. “Yes.” Then she looked at Lewis. “But it’s coming directly toward us.” The room fell silent again.

While Lina focused on her duties, she had also familiarized herself with the ship's layout and mapped it out. Each night, Renee spent time on the deck, using wind speed and direction to estimate their course toward Southeast Aciatic. Lina crawled up and approached her. "Renee, do you truly believe this ship is heading to Southeast Aciatic?" "That's what my calculations indicate," Renee replied, drawing a rough map on a piece of paper. "Based on the wind's speed and direction, we should reach Southeast Aciatic. Of course, it's only our speculation."

I've only read two books on this app. This is the second and by far the best one. The storylines are fluid, the characters are endowed with personality and most importantly the writer makes them come together seamlessly. Ideally, this is what the experience should be, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

I like the story. However, the cost is high for books on here and they are never ending. Not that the chapters are long, but it is almost the same outlying as the other books from this author. Sometimes it takes a moment to see what characters they have actively engaged in that chapter.
