It was off-putting in every way including the foul odor emanating from it. I flicked at the cover with my middle finger, raising my eyes in surprise when Sapphira flinched.

I excluded the book that Sheira let me borrow because it's my favorite book. I just held it and rested it on my left arm. Sheira also packed up, as she preferred being silent.
