Short Bedtime Stories For Adults To Fall Asleep Free Novels & Stories

His presence filled the room completely, making my nerves tense strangely. I closed my eyes, but sleep refused to come. “Vivienne,” he whispered softly after a while. “Are you asleep?” “No.” “Do you want to hear a story?” “Mmm.” In the darkness, he began telling a German story in a low, calm voice. His voice flowed steadily beside me until the story ended. Then he asked again quietly, “Are you asleep now?” “No.” I felt him move closer. His breath brushed lightly against my face. “Since you cannot sleep,” he murmured softly, “maybe we should try something that will help you relax.”

Diane was still out of the room and I wasn’t sure when she would be back. Once Enid was back in bed, I settled on a small stool by her side. I told her a bedtime story – a simple fairy tale about a brave wolf pup who found courage even when in trouble. My voice was barely a whisper, cracked at times, but each word seemed to soothe her. Her eyelids grew heavy, and after a few minutes, she was curled under the covers, eyes closed in peaceful sleep. I pressed a kiss to her forehead and stroked her hair. “Sleep well, baby. Mama loves you so much,” I whispered, turning off the light. The small room was plunged into darkness except for the pale slivers of moonlight drifting through the light curta

“I am not sleepy!”, the little girl grumpily said. Her father was trying to put her to sleep with a lullaby, yet failing at the same time. He let out a sigh and said, “ Zeru, you have to sleep, it is late and you have lessons early in the morning.” Zeru, “But father, I am not sleepy. How about you tell me a story instead, please.” Father, “You little troublemaker! Do you know your way out huh?! Okay, but promise you will sleep after the story and no excuse.”

I pulled the quilt up to my chin and sank deeper into my pillow. "Let me tell you a bedtime story." Riley lay beside me and slipped his arm around my shoulder. "How about I tell you the story of the three pigs? After all, I need to practice telling stories to the baby." "Okay." I chuckled, looking up at him expectantly. "Once upon a time, three little pigs lived in a forest..." When Riley was done with the fairy tale, he started singing lullabies in an effort to get me to fall asleep. While his voice wasn't amazing, it was calming.

she responded. “Adults can listen to bedtime stories too,” “You should take sleeping drugs if you find it difficult to sleep and maybe if you consume less caffeine you’ll sleep better,” she says. “Maybe. Maybe not,” I muttered. Only if she knows why I find it hard to sleep well sometimes. We settled into the living, and almost immediately I sat down and I saw Ryan’s call. “Good morning boss,” he greeted, “Good morning Ryan,” I said, “Sir. Marlo is here,” he said,

Then, I lay beside him once he was fully settled and comfortable. “Mommy, tell me a bedtime story,” “Now?” “Yes. It will help me sleep faster. Also, nobody has told me bedtime stories since you left…” ‘since I left to prison…’ I wanted to say it out loud but I didn’t. The tears I’d been holding accidentally fell out of my eye, and I sniffed discreetly. “Of course.” I cleared my throat and began. “Story, story, story time. There was a far, far away land, and a King ruled a nation known as Anthill, filled with so many people who called themselves Anthillians.”

“Not tonight.” I left the leather volume on the worktable and practically fled to my bedroom. The sheets were cool when I crawled beneath them, still wearing my oversized sweater and lounge shorts. I pulled the covers up to my chin, closed my eyes, and willed myself to sleep. I’ll read more in the morning, I told myself. When the strange feeling is gone. When Stan’s angry words aren’t still ringing in my ears. Sleep came faster than expected, pulling me under like warm, scented oil.

He missed her too much. Anthony was speechless. Charmine offered, “I’ll tell you some bedtime stories, then?” “Okay! Hehe!” Chris leaned into her arms obediently. Charmine then picked up a storybook with her clear voice ringing, “One day, Adam made a robot friend. The robot ran with him…” Her voice was gentle and soothing, almost hypnotic, so much so that Chris somehow fell asleep in her arms as he listened. Charmine put him down carefully and draped the blanket over him.

Moana One night, I was reading a bedtime story to Ella when I found myself nodding off in the chair by her bed. I didn’t wake up until a couple of hours later. She was fast asleep and I didn’t want to wake her, so I quietly got up and slipped back into my room to go back to sleep. When I walked back into my room, I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary, seeing as how tired I was. I moved my sketchbook aside and climbed into the covers, and quickly fell asleep.

The boys were too tired to put up their usual bedtime resistance, allowing themselves to be tucked into their beds with minimal fuss. "Story?" Ethan requested, his eyes already half-closed. "Short one," I promised, settling into the chair between their beds while Thomas leaned against the doorframe. I chose a familiar story about brave little mice going on adventures, my voice soft and soothing in the dim light of their room. By the time I reached the end, both boys were fast asleep, their breathing deep and even. Thomas and I tiptoed out of their room, leaving the door slightly ajar as always.
