Until now, strange short stories had only very short stories. But from volume two I intend to add stories that have 10 to 20 captains as well. These stories are not so long nor have so much visibility as a separated book. For this reason, I decided to move all then into strange short stories, that is already a storybook of different themes.

She stares at each and everyone here that has been a part of her life while growing up. She might have felt like she has been forgotten by the fairy world for a while back then, but spending her time in the human world is something she would never trade even if she is a Princess in her own fairy realm. After dinner, everyone settle at the sofa and exchange gifts. They sip warm chocolate once more as each one shares their story about Christmas. Caspian and Bran enjoy listening to these stories of the holiday most especially about Santa and his elves. Later in the evening, the parents of Jo excuse themselves to leave but as usual, Jo stays behind.

Hi, everyone! This is Curvy Writes, and first things first: I need to take a deep, dramatic bow and then just collapse on the nearest couch. Because, people, we did it! I just want to say a massive, soul-hugging, confetti-tossing THANK YOU to every single one of you who has been reading my short story, "In Her Skin." Seriously, from the bottom of my slightly exhausted but extremely grateful heart, thank you. You guys have been the absolute best audience a writer could ask for.

Reaching out, she gave one of the girl’s pigtails a tug. “I promise, there will be lots of trees when we get into town. But remember, we’re getting a little one this year, okay?” Because of the Grinch and his aversion to all things festive. “I know! It’s like a fairy tree because it’s tiny and can go on a table to put in our room because Kaleb doesn’t like Christmas.” Her head tipped to one side. “How come he doesn’t, Mommy? Everybody likes presents. And Santa… And the reindeers, and Christmas trees filled with lights and all the merry stuff… How come, Mommy?”

I clutched at my stomach from the pain of laughing so hard and backed away, grabbing at the wall for support. "HOORAIN!!" He screamed at the top of his voice. I ran away at the sight of him coming at me all the way upstairs to my room. He had long legs but I was definitely sharper and quicker. Quickly locking the door behind me, I slammed the door on his face. He continued banging on my door, with threats to break it down but I laughed him off and sat back on my bed until he left. I am so dead when I get out of this room. I thought, slumping on my bed. The reception had ended few days ago yet, all Papa and Mama talk about, is him.

Too many people have been hurt by what he's done. December 20th. This is my last entry. If something happens to me, if I don't make it out, please know I tried. Please know I'm not the perfect wife he'll claim I was. I was scared and trapped and I fought back the only way I knew how. He will tell everyone we were happy. Don't believe him. Don't let him rewrite our story. The truth is in the files hidden at my mother's storage unit, locker 247. The truth will destroy him. And he knows it. The journal ends there. Five days before Christmas Eve. Five days before the accident that stole my memory and trapped me here.

In a duffel bag the moment you step out Sunday night.” I looked across the small living room. My six-year-old brother, Noah, was asleep on the couch, thumb in his mouth, tiny chest rising and falling. My eleven-year-old brother, Liam, sat on the floor doing homework by the light of a single lamp because we couldn’t afford to run the ceiling fan tonight. He looked up at me with those too-serious eyes. “Who’s on the phone, Sara?” “Just work,” I lied. I stood and walked into the kitchenette.

My sundress clung to my skin from the humidity, the thin fabric doing nothing to hide how my nipples had stayed hard since the pool earlier. Tyler grinned wide, already slurring a bit as he slammed back the fresh drink. “Nah, baby, we’re celebrating! Honeymoon rules. Kyle, remember that time in college when you got so fucked up you tried to piss in the RA’s fridge?” He burst out laughing, loud enough that heads turned at nearby tables, slapping his brother on the arm. Kyle leaned back in his chair, that cocky smirk never leaving his face, his eyes locked on me across the table like he could see straight through my dress.

When Noah Levine came back, Christmas had already passed. I'd thrown that reindeer lingerie into a street trash bin. "Babe, I left in such a rush last night that I forgot to give you your Christmas present." He pulled out a sapphire necklace and swept my hair aside to fasten it around my neck. Because he leaned in so close, I could clearly see the red marks on his neck and smell the sickly sweet perfume that obviously wasn't his. Knowing the scent belonged to my own sister made my stomach turn.
