The Heartless Princess

The Heartless Princess

– Lauren spoke really excited, you could see it in the anxious gleam in her eyes when exposing something so familiar and intimate, a comfort that made her remember home when realizing that Karila was interested in that fact. “I don't know anything about Spanish, it sounds difficult, it sounds like Latin. – Karila notably indicated indecisively. Lauren nodded, nodding in agreement with her hit. “You can teach me a phrase in Spanish, something different, and I can teach you something in Arabic. – Karila suggested lostly inserted in that fact. Lauren brightened at her suggestion, ready to help in any way she could. Constant thoughts of her going in directions that would give her a good head sta

Queen Of Ace

I placed my bag beside me and grabbed some chips in front of us. "Guys, I've just learnt a little Spanish from a friend of mine during English class," Emma announced, enthusiastic. "You learned Spanish in English class? That's ironic," Danny remarked as we all laughed at it. "I know right?" Emma laid her hand on the grass and leaned on her arm. "So what are the words you've learned?" I asked. "Just basic Spanish. Like how to introduce yourself." She gestured her hand as we stared at her in anticipation. "¡Holá! Mi nombre Emma. ¿Como te llamas?"

Bound By Lies, Broken By Truth

I did feel bad for pushing him. He wasn’t answering, he was just looking at me. “I’m a fast learner. I won’t take much of your time. Just an hour every day, that’s all I’m asking. And, I know some already. Yo una hombre” I give him a cheeky smile. “Soy una mujer.” He corrected. “Sorry?” “Hombre is man. Mujer is woman. You are a woman. So, you say, soy una mujer,” he clarified, sighing in defeat.

Across The Ice: Falling for my ex’s biggest rival

“Camilla. I know I’ve been calling you that since Dean told me your middle name, but I can’t help it. It suits you better than Iris, if you ask me. Don’t tell your parents.” “I won’t.” “Good. Now teach me something in Spanish.” Dean, who had been reaching for a glass of water, paused. “Why?” “Because I want to learn.” “That is never the real reason.” His grandmother ignored him. “Something useful. Something I can say when I want to embarrass him.” I glanced at Dean. He was already looking suspicious, which made it difficult not to smile. “Te quiero mucho, pero eres un poco ridículo. It means, ‘I love you very much, but you’re a little ridiculous.’”

EL Diablo

EL Diablo

Ava said with all the innocence she could muster. The man before her was speechless, he opened his mouth to speak but no words came out, he pointed his finger at her but he couldn’t think of any curse to lay on her. Ava imagined his head filling up with red liquid and whistling when filled like in cartoons just as he threw his hand up and started shouting curses in Spanish and for that moment, she was so happy she couldn’t understand him, if not, she wondered what profanities he was throwing at her.

Waves of Wanderlust: The Altea Odyssey

Waves of Wanderlust: The Altea Odyssey

The other recoiled, as though each compliment were another stitch closing her into a life she had not consciously chosen. Juan, one of the older regulars, launched into a story about a storm he had survived years ago off the Valencian coast. Antonio, weathered and theatrical as ever, interrupted with his own account of a night at sea so strange it involved, according to him, glowing water and a fish with human eyes. The room laughed, delighted. Estrella laughed too. She had heard variations of these stories since childhood. Once they had sounded like windows. Now, on nights like this, they sounded more like taunts—proof that even the old men of Altea had seen more of the world than she had.

He was not going to get away with it while I was around. "Okay I give up," he sighed and I pushed the book towards him. "Read that section in the book over and I'll quiz you in the next ten minutes." "Okay, how do you say I'm tired in Spanish?" He asked. He was being a smart ass since I asked him for an English to Spanish dictionary. I couldn't keep up with him and Alvaro's conversations sometimes. "Estoy ca-" I couldn't get the pronunciation. "Estoy cansada," he said.

DARK OBSESSION

he said smiling "Quien es usted?" The brown skinned boy asked in Spanish "I'm a friend to your grandpa," he answered "Grandpa doesn't have friends," the other kid said bluntly "Really? Maybe you don't know, I live in the city, have you guys been to the city before?" He asked and they shook their heads. "We've only been to Eibar when we went to get clothes for Christmas," the blonde boy answered "How about me taking you to the city, would you mind?" Eden asked and their faces beamed with joy.
