Nothing happened. Ronald slammed his hand on the desk and cursed. "Sir,there must have been something wrong with the serum, I will fix it by the evening! I did not know all about it ",explained Kush. "Look Kush, I am giving you time, FIX IT…!", snapped Ronald,"Everybody clear up! Leave those bodies, Kush, you will check out what went wrong "

For the first time, there was no pressure behind her thoughts. No unseen anticipation of reaction. Just her. Unfiltered. And that felt unfamiliar in a way that wasn’t entirely comfortable. Charlotte checked her tablet again. “It’s spreading,” she said suddenly. Ophelia turned. “What is?” Charlotte looked up, slightly confused. “The shutdown effect.” Alessandre frowned. “What does that mean?” Charlotte hesitated. “Systems that were previously linked are stabilizing independently. No synchronization errors anymore. No predictive interference.” Ophelia understood immediately. “They’re returning to baseline behavior.”

The glass of the boardroom windows vibrated with the silent scream of a multi-billion dollar empire grinding to a halt. On the massive mahogany table, six tablets were laid out, each one flashing a different shade of crimson. SHIPMENT FROZEN. ACCESS DENIED. ACCOUNT TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED.

I couldn’t believe it, and it made me actually stop pacing around the room for a second. "Are you saying the company is going under?" I asked quietly. "I'm saying we needed that account to survive the quarter,” she said. “Things are not so good over here since you left, and it’s been so hard getting a new replacement. I don’t want to scare you, but the higher ups are talking about shutting down. They don’t like the numbers they’re seeing. The Holloways were going to keep both the American and the English branches afloat. We need Nate Holloway on our side. And I’m afraid you just gave him a reason to pull everything."

This wasn’t damage control. This was removal. Systematic. Immediate. Clean. The phone rang, sharp and sudden, making me flinch. Livia’s name flashed across the screen. I answered. “What’s happening?” Her voice was tense in a way I had never heard before. “They’re shutting it down. All of it. Faster than it can spread.” “That’s impossible,” I said, though the evidence was literally vanishing in my hands. “Nothing is impossible for him,” she snapped. Him.

Z growled standing next to Sasha blocking Shay's way out. PSA: This will be the last update until Saturday, I have orders that need to go out, plus cook for my own family. Happy Turkey day yall!

She held out the screen of the phone again, and when I looked, my eyes widened instantly. “Account Terminated. User will no longer be allowed on I*******m or allowed to open another account.” My heart dropped into my stomach. At first, I thought it was my account. Confusion washed over me. How could this be? People had just been supporting me seconds ago. Why would I*******m shut me down now? “It’s Tyler’s, Ma’am,” Julie clarified, her voice low but steady. “It seems people mass reported his page and got it terminated,” she explained.

The heirs’ expressions turned hostile as they all fixed their eyes on Dustin. They came here to have a good time. Clearly, Dustin had just ruined their fun. “Mr. Gus… Mr. Gus… Are you alright?” The manager helped Gus up worriedly. “Mr. Gus… I was about to tell you something. Our lounge will be shut down tomorrow…” the manager said with a grim face. “What did you just say?” Gus’s shock momentarily eclipsed his pain. “Shut down? Why? How is that possible?”

“What’s wrong?” I tried speaking but nothing came out. His hands immediately settled on my shoulders. “Charlotte.” I swallowed. “It’s my company.” His expression darkened. “What happened?” I told him everything, every detail, the FDA, the one-week deadline. Literally everything. By the time I finished, Alexander’s jaw was clenched. “I also just approved the shutdown of our website.” I added He nodded. “Good.” “I also fired the website team. Do you agree with this?”

“Were you ever going to tell me who you were.” A long silence. “I don’t know,” he said. Honest. Painfully honest. She nodded. Picked up the documents. Folded them. Stood up. “Ryan.” She looked down at him. “When this is over. When Monday happens and whatever comes after happens.” She paused. “Don’t contact me again.” He looked up at her. “Okay,” he said. She walked out. She was on the pavement outside with her phone already in her hand when it rang.
