I reached out, my fingers trembling with a mix of fury and helplessness as I pulled the black leather folder toward me. I picked up the heavy silver pen resting on his desk. Without saying a single word, I flipped to the final page and scrawled my signature across the line. I slammed the folder shut, the heavy thud echoing in the quiet office, and turned on

Without fully facing me, she gestured toward the long table at the center of the room. “Go ahead,” she said. “Look.” I approached slowly. The table was covered in files. Old. Thick. The kind of papers that felt heavy even before you touched them. I picked one up, not caring about ceremony. Just wanting answers. I froze. My signature stared back at me. Clear. Undeniable. My name. Chapter 5: Greyson’s pov I handed her the paper for her to sign. She stared at it, still contemplating, her eyes flickering from one line to the other as she bit her lips. “If you do not——“ “I’ll sign it. Pen,” she said, beckoning to me and when I arched a brow at her, she went for my bag. But I held up my hand and offered her the pen. “I’ll do it, this place is shit hell.” The pen scribbled across the paper, two places where her signature was needed. She lifted her head, “any other thing?”

CHAPTER 7 Mia stared at the papers on the table, her fingers brushing lightly over the edge of the pen resting beside them. She didn’t bother reading through the details. She hated being questioned, hated being challenged, and she was determined to prove she could handle whatever this contract entailed. Without hesitation, she picked up the pen. She couldn't help but stare at the bold heading on the first document: "Contract between Mia Meyer and Stefan Sterling." Opening the contract, without a flicker of hesitation, she pressed the pen to the paper and signed her name, her strokes fluid and deliberate.

She nods back at me with assurance. I sigh and start signing on the papers. "Game On." I say with the final signature on the last page. ********

Flipping through the five-page document, I put my signature on all the pages. It’s done. I was bound. For a second, I thought I saw the tension leaving his shoulders. It was gone so quickly that I wasn’t sure I imagined it. He leaned back against his seat and crossed his arms against his chest. “Now, it begins.”

Chapter 21. We are meant to be together. “Are you sure about this?” I continued scratching the back of my neck, staring at the page I had to sign before I could enter. “You don’t have to do this.” I have to, you have no idea how much. I thought to myself. Finally, I took a deep breath and sighed. I took the pen and signed my name in the book. “That way.” A disinterested hefty woman tilted her head at the door, not even glancing up as she continued to flip through an adult magazine. Both her legs on the table and her chair leaned back, she clearly didn’t care much about this job.

"Sign the document, and let us officially begin our joint venture." Sienna picked up her pen. Without a single second of hesitation or doubt, she pressed the point to the paper and signed her name firmly beside his.

She glanced at the documents, and muttered, "I would sign them, not out of defeat, but as a symbol of my determination to rebuild my life and seek revenge for all my misfortunes. Kayla had awakened a sleeping lioness and she shouldn't be scared to face the consequences that came with her actions. She looked at the document once again. With one signature, they would be strangers from then on, with no connection whatsoever. After a moment of hesitation, she resolutely signed her name.
